As usual, Deepak has rocked with his insights and philosophy. But it has one core problem. Narration. Deepak's voice always had that magic which is lacking in here. He was a bit slow and was just reading. Really, narration has lacked the expression. I mean it is neither inspirational nor motivational. But the content is amazing and was put in very good shape.
The knowledge slice he has cut for us is definitely an antidote for our ignorance on many essential things. God bless Deepak. Always been his follower.
This work is amazing. Very informative on how our brain works and how this ignorance is the real reason for our frustration when we under-perform and under-organize the day-to-day works both at workplace and at home-front.
This is really cool. The story is quite dramatic and lively. But the narrator could have been slightly better. He is a bit slow and outdated in the expression. Overall a must listen for every one. A lay-men's guide to neuroscience. David rock has refined the findings and presented them. This definitely not for those who wants some technical info or stuff on brain or mind.
The power of Self-discipline "No excuses" is a catchy title, but not appropriate to the content. Out of the 20 odd lessons or modules, there is one or two on self-discipline. All the other really don't concur to this core idea. Otherwise the content is quite OK and definitely helpful. The story of the book is quite normal and expected. This can be a try or rather a self-help book for the beginner. But definitely not an insightful one. It is a collection or compilation of some good ideas. But definitely a good try when are really think you really need some good words to be heard to keep yourself motivated.
This work is really an eye opener. It has tremendously changed the way I spend and save money. Many myths about money and rich have just vanished. The work is very well researched. Though the context of the whole story is US society, it made a lot of sense. Thanks to the authors. And narration is wonderful and too good. I have started looking for other works of Cotter Smith. Great Audio book.
