I probably would when the rest of the series comes out just to refresh it in my mind.
I enjoy the concept of the whole good vs. evil story line and a group of friends working together.
To me, the characters sounded much older than what I imagine they are. Also , she over dramatizes nearly everything. I had a difficult time trying to get past that to enjoy the story.
Read the book!
I've waited months for this book to come out since I listened to so many of Nora Roberts books. I've liked most of them enough to listen to repeatedly. I think the narration spoiled much of the story, so I may just get the book and read it to see if that helps.
I always enjoy a series with each of the characters getting their own story told. I had to go back and relisten to the whole series when Perfect Homecoming came out as that tells Cooper's story as well as Emma's story from Homecoming Ranch.
When Jack starts to see that Audrey is more than what he thought she was.
I think Audrey. Although I think Renee does a good job of making you believe there is more than one person doing the narrating.
I like all these books and was happy when The Perfect Homecoming was available as it finished up the story of the four guys in this series. Even if Cooper wasn't as major a character as the others, I liked having his story told ,too. And having it mesh with another good series was a bonus.
Although these books can be stand alone, I like to have the whole series for background on the characters. I really enjoy all the books in this series and the series that ties in with it (Thrillseekers). I would recommend all of them. There is plenty of humor plus the feeling that these characters are as frail and fallable as any human.
I think that Emma was who she was whether other people liked her or not. I understand how people would assume she had a form of Aspbergers (having an autistic child, I know they can say things that most people filter) and maybe she really did.
She does a good job of distinguishing voices from one character to the next. I like her work.
Both. There were some parts where you had to laugh but the parts that were sad literally made be cry. I don't want to give anything away, but if you've read the other books in this series, there is a conclusion that you knew was coming and is still something you wish would change.
I have most of Julia London's audibles that are this genre. I'm not into the historical romances but I do like the contemporary ones.
Yes. I originally bought this book with a different narrator. I had a hard time getting invested sin the story. Since this was rereleased with Luke Daniels as the narrator, I redownloaded and was much happier with it. I wish there was some way Audible could let buyers know when a book was done with a different narrator.
Most of Nora Roberts mystery type books have a similar flavor. I enjoy them enough that I usually listen to them at least a couple of times a year and never get tired of them.
When Abra fights off her attacker.
Once again, narration is key to enjoying a book.
Love comes back
When the lawyer was going to force Yvette to go with him and her crazy, stalker ex broke in to save her.
He is one of the best narrators on audible and is very good at making you forget it's just one person reading for all the characters. He doesn't do the over-the-top narrating that some of them do that make it hard to listen to a book.
MMA remeets the girl he saved, all grown up.
I like Lori Fosters work and waited for this to come out. It didn't disappoint. Cannon is a very good guy who you immediately feel drawn to. It's not all about the description of MMA but about the people involved in the story. Since this is the beginning of a series, you get to know some of the characters who will be in future books. I gotta say, there is one that I'm not liking all that much yet so I hope she has a really good back story for him to explain why he is such a pig :)
The narrator was pretty good. The story was never ending and was so much angst that it was difficult to get through.
I don't know that I would. This really wasn't my type of book.
I like that the narrator is the same for the whole series. It's easier to enjoy listening when I'm used to the voice of someone who has already established themselves as the characters in previous books.
The outrageous behavior of Sam's mother. Also, I like that Susan Mallery has set the stage for the next book by introducing characters that I know will have their own story soon.
When Dellina has dinner with Sam's parents and sees that Sam did not exaggerate his mother's bluntness.
A true community of friends.
I don't think anything could have saved this. The male lead was a whining jerk and the female should be used as an example of what not to put up with.
No. I have a lot of Marie Force books that I really enjoyed. I just couldn't get behind any of the circle of friends.
I didn't care for this narrator. Didn't show much emotion but she also didn't have much to work with.
I would totally rewrite the final scene. This was so bad I will be asking for my credit back. Will never want to hear this again.
This was such a disappointment since I enjoyed the books I've listened to by this author before.
Tanya Eby brings the characters to life. I also listen to books while I work and audible makes it very easy for me to enjoy them . It makes all the difference to have a good narrator.
When Angel understood that it's possible to have love again while still honoring the family he lost.
All of the Fool's Gold books plus others. I like her narration. Some narrators just don't work for me, but she does. I never have any problem listening to her.
I usually manage to find humor in all the Fool's Gold books. I love how everyone will help to get each other through the rough spots.
This is one of the series that I always preorder when I know about them.
I like the idea of a group of females learning to bond. Although I bought all the books in this series, I still really am disgusted with their father. Self centered MW. I feel for all the girls that they had to learn of how deceitful their father was for their entire lives.
I don't have a favorite of the characters. They all have strong personalities and manage to mesh well under difficult circumstances.
I like most audio books . It leaves me free to work and do errands while still enjoying a book. Although she isn't my favorite narrator, she is pretty good.
I have really enjoyed Nora Roberts books before, but with this series, the narrators for the first two books in the series ruin it. The first book was read by someone who was so wrong because she made everyone sound like they were in their 70's and she was SOOOOOO excited, it made me cringe. This guy just had me nodding off or losing track because I really couldn't focus on the story. When your mind wanders when you are listening to a book, there is a problem with the narration.
Hard to form a clear impression when I couldn't concentrate on the story.
Susan Ericksen ( as many people have said). She does such a good job with voices and accents.
