"Dry in parts but overall very good"
I really enjoyed this book although it took for granted that I knew a lot about Brittish politics and its political system. Given that I am not British, there were a lot few things that took me almost the whole book to figure out what he was going on about
"Loved it"
Don't usually go in for this kind of sci fi/fantasy thing but I loved this book. The characters were interesting, plot very twisty and the performance was excellent.
"I didn't hate it"
I like to listen to audiobooks while doing the housework and this one wasn't apt for much more. I haven't listened to any other books in this series and I'm not sure I would. The almost silly amount of coffee talk made the main characters seem quite shallow, like nothing in the world was more important then the brew!
"He's a nutter!"
I had always been vaguely aware of The Steve Jobs story and I was interested to know more details. I found the listen to be very engaging and certainly left no holds barred! It was a nicely rounded biography, both showing elements of Steve that were admirable and also not very flattering. Would definitely recommend it.
"I want more"
I got hooked from book 1 and would really like a book 5 6 &7! Characters have spunk and it's really fun to listen to.
"I enjoyed it, a bt of a laugh"
It wasn't as good as the Jane Jameson books but it was certainly entertaining. A bit of light silliness.
"Pretty Cute"
Thoroughly formula, rather saccharine but lovely. This is the kind of book you want to read to cheer you up or to stop thinking. Definitely listen again
"A bit of a painful read"
I tend to like Kristin Hannah's books although they are always very strung out. This one was a bit painful to read as I thought that a lot of the decisions the main characters made were just dumb. Also seemed a bit formula for me. Wouldn't listen again.
"Kinda interesting but very British and SLOW"
Took ages for anything to unravel in this book, and when it did, I wasn't particularly gripped by it. It's a thoroughly British book, and maybe I dont really like that
"a very entertaining read"
I'm a big fan of Stephen Fry and this book was a really interesting read. I love biographies and he did a great job giving us all the nitty gritty without it being too in depth and gooey.
