This story had a lot of depth. I really loved all the characters and I couldn't put is down. Although, not related as in a series, Kim Law's other book "Caught on Camera" was equally good if you like this one.
Natalie Ross does a great job as well. She makes the story come alive and the characters believable. Would definitely listen to both again!

Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control....

It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may - or may not - fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable....

Great story! Great characters! Great depth! Loved every minute!

Elle Newlands narration fit this book where I felt that Paula Costello fit "On Dublin Street" and since I think the narration can make or break the audio version I was so pleased. Who couldn't listen to a Scottish accent all day, anyway?

Its bittersweet to not be able to put a book down because its so good but then Im so sad when its over and Im mad at myself for not rationing its time out. :)(. Can't wait for more!!!

A former football star and one of Chicago's top prosecutors, Assistant U.S. Attorney Cade Morgan will do anything to nail a corrupt state senator, which means he needs Brooke Parker's help. As general counsel for a restaurant company, she can get a bug to the senator's table at one of her five-star restaurants so the FBI can eavesdrop on him. All Cade has to do is convince Brooke to cooperate-and he's not afraid to use a little charm, or the power of his office, to do just that.

    Story

First, I liked the first 3 books in this series but there has been so much time between them and book 4 I forgot so many of the characters from the past.
Second, I think this lacked ALOT of the depth the previous stories had.
Third, I had been a fan of Karen White but her male character sounded too much like a relative of Thurston Howl III from Giligans Island which tended to detract from the romance of it all.
That being said, it's an ok listen if you re so inclined. I might have liked it more if the male character's voice was a little better. Sorry....

    Story

This is a story that is about two college age kids who are from different sides of the track. The story doesn't get too deep that it ends up beating a dead horse but does touch on current issues that one might face. It's refreshing to see that they can weed through things to find out what really matters in life. Not too deep, not too light young adult story. I'm old enough to be their parents so consider the source. As a parent, it's nice to see characters that reflect maturity and depth that readers/listeners the same age as the characters involved can look at as examples. I can see how it could get 5 stars depending on the listener and their life experiences. It held my interest and the narrators did a good job which is always a deal breaker for me.

The narrator does a fabulous job! She was perfect for this story. What a relief, right!!!!

    Story

    LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
It's a romance story that has all the good stuff. Couldn't put it down.

Aside from it just being a great listen this book is so refreshing in that Joss reflects on her issues realistically and she recognizes why she is the way she is. She evolves throughout the story. (Kind of nice to not hear a character keep reiterating their fears over and over again without a clue.). Also, it was great to hear Braden call Joss on her issues when necessary but still patient. However, there is so much more to the story that you don't feel beat down by "issues".

    As for the narration--INCREDIBLE!!!
I don't know why it took me so long to download this book. As soon as I finished it I started it all over again. I'm counting down the hours to "Down London Road".
I hate when I can't put a book down because I'm bummed when its over.

Soooooooooooo good! The only thing wrong with this books is that it is over.

If you like romance novels then download now. To write anything else would give parts away.

That really was a treat. I've been on a string of bad purchases lately and was getting frustrated especially with the narration. Lauren Fortgang is sooooo awesome as narrator!

    Enjoy!

This was in the top five of WORST books and shockingly it wasn't in the narration. Poole did the best she could with what she had to work with. The story is just juvenile and corny. It lacked imagination and depth and increasingly irritating. REALLY wish I had my money back!!! I would give this book less than five stars if I could. Sorry.

    Story

I started this book and I have to say the story held my interest but the narrator did not. It's a light fun read and I thought the characters were pretty relevant with fun dialogue.
However, by the third chapter I was involved in the story but could not take the narrator anymore. Fielding reads with such little emotion that I found myself drifting off and having to rewind over and over. If I wasn't rewinding I was falling asleep.
So, I actually downloaded the kindle version and finished reading it on my own. It was cute and I'm glad I did especially because at the end there is an excerpt of the second book that continues another story of Vanessa and Jax (secondary characters in the first book-- "Rules of Entanglement "). That book was actually really good. I liked it even more.
    I recommend to read!

Kristan Higgins has become one of my favorite authors, by far. I find my self laughing and crying in just about all her stories. Her heros are always the best. Her stories are always filled with so much entertainment that I can never put them down. This is no exception. If I was to tell the author anything it would be to have more dialog between the hero and heroine only because its always so good. You won't go wrong with any of Higgins books.

Completely uneventful. So boring and predictable and dumb. It was the third book in a row I had started that was bad so I forced myself to finish. Very frustrating.

The narration was horrible and painful. Drug out every sentence so that everything felt so dramatic, even the light moments. I feel as though I have heard this narrator before but not sure where. Maybe under a different name?? I didn't like it then either. Pleasant voice, just bad at narrating. Not only do I wish I had my money back but I wish I had my 5 hours and 43 minutes. I had heard it was good so I kept hanging on but I must have heard wrong because it wasn't. Very frustrating.
