No greater threat exists than that which waits in the depths of the distant Maw Cluster: A being of pure, ravenous dark-side energy named Abeloth calls out across the stars to Jedi and Sith alike. For some it may be the ultimate source of answers crucial to their survival. For others it could be the ultimate weapon of conquest. But for all, it is a game-changingand life-altering encounter of untold magnitude and a tactical gambit with unimaginable consequences.

No Kevin Thompson abridging. Clever Story telling by Mark Thompson. While the first in series remains the best... I enjoyed this as well.

if it were written for young adults I am good with that. I'm a early 40's US Marine & absolutely loved this story. Just a solid job throughout. Only complaint is that it's the end/last in series

The first of a two-part series. This wonderfully bridges the gap betwixt what we know of Ani & Kenobi. A smattering of the animated series characters can be found. Primarily though, this unabridged work gives you some of the chosen one and his; master partner & friend.

I don't do many young adult books. My first movie theater, movie, was a New Hope... To approximate my years. Disney has ever been about princesses... Hopeful that my favorite one would some day be recognized... I was glad to come accross this story...
More than filler, this is an origin story. The emergence of a princess. A planet and its people comprising perhaps our 'better angles'. Worth the time to check this out.
    -Side note on narration-
It's uncomfortable, albeit possibly unavoidable, to have a younger woman do adult male voices. While our narrator of this work was a great fit for a young Leia... Poor Moff Tarkin & Bale Organa. Good thing there was no attempt at a Vader Voice. All & all Excellent!

But for all her renown, Phasma remains as virtually unknown as the impassive expression on her gleaming chrome helmet. Now, an adversary is bent on unearthing her mysterious origins - and exposing a secret she guards as zealously and ruthlessly as she serves her masters.

    Story

Between the fantastic Thrawn Trilogy and Fate of the Jedi are dozens of stories. Most here at Audible are abridged beyond recognition. This broad and sweeping story is both epic & vital to the Star Wars Universe. Should you find yourself having a hoard of unused credits try the Vong Wars and a few others of note. A website called Yoda's Note Pad will provide you with a chronological order of novels. A great reference to determine what books to add to your library and which you may want to find AT your local library.

From all corners, politicians, power brokers, and military leaders converge on Coruscant for a crucial summit to restore order, negotiate differences, and determine the future of their unified worlds. But even more critical, and far more uncertain, is the future of the Jedi.

Credit where credit is due. After bumbling through the abridged to death series preceding this novel... I am delighted with everything about Outcast. There is action and adventure to be sure. But the small snippets of comic relief were wonderful. And a more personal father & son relationship between Luke and Ben was simply fantastic. Good story, well narrated, production & music give a true Star Wars feel. Thank you for leaving it intact.

You have destroyed the balance sir. MIA is content. KIA are the characters. The universe is still expanding... Despite your best efforts to abridge it.
I call for a vote of no confidence in your producing!
