Phryne Fisher is doing one of her favorite things -dancing at the Green Mill (Melbourne's premier dance hall) to the music of Tintagel Stone's Jazzmakers, the band who taught St Vitus how to dance. And she's wearing a sparkling lobelia-coloured georgette dress. Nothing can flap the unflappable Phryne -especially on a dance floor with so many delectable partners. Nothing except death, that is.

Would you consider the audio edition of Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter to be better than the print version?

Yes, the audio is very nice.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter?

Every new encounter Dixie has is memorable because she has such a different way of bonding with people - or not.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

All the moments with Dixie interacting with her animal clients are moving. She shows such sensitivity to their needs.

    Any additional comments?

This is a rare change from your usual "character turn sleuth" story. Dixie comes with a skill for "detecting" and knows what she's doing. The baggage she carries around seems just a bit heavy, however.

Would you consider the audio edition of Dixie Divas to be better than the print version?

Yes, but just barely, I may not be able to read better, but I can imagine better. Still, I prefer listening so I can do other things at the same time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Biddy. She is just so care free and she lives well and means well yet she makes mistakes and gets in trouble.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The performance was to much like she was just reading. I may be spoiled by other actors that really perform well.

What did you love best about Her Royal Spyness?

This story is witty, and kept me laughing one minute and on the seat of my chair the next. I learned things about royalty and life in London.

What did you like best about this story?

What does Katherine Kellgren bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Katherine Kellgren is a very talented, brilliant actress that brought all the characters alive. For me, she made the story come alive. I recognized the characters just from "their voice".

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book is pure pleasure. The way the Amish are portrayed is absolutely genius. It is like taking a vacation in your mind. I didn't want it to end so I went on and bought the next two in the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Simple Winter?

Remy was describing the home life of the family she was visiting and the feeling of love and warmth and how she wanted this life. I felt like I was in the room with her experiencing the companionship.

What about Cassandra Campbell’s performance did you like?

Cassandra does an absolutely superb job. Her voice adds to the whole experience of being around these very gentle people.

Not that Kim couldn't use the help: she recently returned to work, leaving the care of her 10-year-old twins to her new houseguest. What she didn't count on was Miranda's unwanted decorating tips and unending criticism. Kim's husband, Derek, soon finds himself volleying between the woman he loves and the mother he can't escape.

What did you love best about Murder, She Wrote: Coffee, Tea, or Murder??

I loved hearing more about the romance between the Scottland Yard Detective and Jessica Fletcher. It is always a pleasure to hear the desciptions of the surroundings and in this case I felt like I'd taken a mini tour of London.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scenes were the ones where she was interacting with all her friends that had come to London with her.

Jessica is invited to join other crime writers at an interactive murder mystery weekend in a historic mansion turned resort. A theatrical troupe presents a play for the paying guests, but a young actor's death during the actual performance isn't part of the script. The local sheriff has never investigated a murder before and enlists Jessica's help and expertise. As she begins to put the pieces together in her folksy fashion, Jessica recognizes that this could well be her last performance.

Would you consider the audio edition of Promise Me to be better than the print version?

No, Harlan Coben can write, but he can't read

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

    Yes

How did the narrator detract from the book?

His reading was so off that he put emphases where it didn't belong and often confused the whole sentence structure. I spent too much time cringing to pay attention.
