About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Book review: I watched the movie first, and reading the book filled in all the gaps in details that wasn't covered on film. It's very mild (PG wise), but well written, and really leaves you wanting more. Some phrases are extremely repetitious, and I did get tired of hearing how 'perfect' Edward was. If you're an adult and looking for a little more heat with the same subject matter (vampires/supernaturals) try the Sookie Stackhouse novels.
Narrator review: After getting used to Kristen Stewart it took my ears some time warm up to Ms. Kadushin, but after reading the entire series, Bella wouldn't be right read by someone else.

  • How I Helped O. J. Get Away with Murder: The Shocking Inside Story

The shocking tale told in How I Helped O. J. Get Away with Murder is unlike anything you've read before. It isn't Mike Gilbert's "version" of what happened'; it's the unvarnished truth - the truth about O. J., the murders, and the infamous trial, not as Gilbert imagined or would like it to be, but how it actually was.

Book review: This book is entirely the title, it explains why O.J. got away with murder. I don't want to join the masses of finger pointers, and tsk the writer for his role in O.J.'s acquittal, I just appreciate him realizing what he had become entangled in, and writing this book to fill the rest of the world in on what happened behind the scenes. I would recommend this book if you had any opinion about the trial, or were captivated by the media footage.
Narrator review: Not the best voice, just odd sounding, it could have been better, but it's something one can adjust to.

Book review: I read this novel before going to see the movie. I found the book to be very well written with a great flow, but very very slow. I was expecting more, and was disappointed by the ending (I was looking for a happily ever after). I also thought there would be more, well, physical romance, not so. This is PG, and done very tastefully, especially since it's from a man's point of view. I think most people would like this book, but it just wasn't for me.
Narrator review: Very well done, no complaints, definitely one of the high points of "reading" this book.

Vampires have officially "come out of the coffin", and Miss Sookie can't wait for one to come her way.

Book review: After watching, and loving True Blood, I decided to read the books. I'm glad I did, they're easy to listen to, have a way of holding your attention, and are surprisingly funny.
Not something you'd read for intellectual or political pondering, but a book to help your brain fly in auto-pilot.
Narrator review: I thought Ms. Parker's voice would grate on my nerves, but it didn't, it took a little while to get used to, and now I can't imagine "reading" Sookie's thoughts in someone else's voice.
A peeve- all of the male voices sound the same, but it's not bad enough to make me stop listening.
