  • 11-22-63: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (30 hrs and 44 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By Craig Wasson

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Kelly says: "I Owe Stephen King An Apology"
"I couldn't wait for my commute to listen"
What did you love best about 11-22-63?

The story and the characters were incredibly engaging. I really couldn't wait to hear what was going to happen next.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters and the circling around real world events and people.

    Any additional comments?

I will get another book with Craig Wasson as narrator. His performance was really excellent.

Most books I only listen to in the car. This one I had to keep listening after my commute had ended.

  • Little Golden Treasury

    • UNABRIDGED (35 mins)
    • By Junette Sebring Lowrey, Gertrude Compton, Kathryn Jackson, and others
    • Narrated By Susan Gregory, Skip Hinnant

The Poky Little Puppy: A puppy loves to dig holes under the fence, despite what his mother, his brothers, and sisters say. But the poky little puppy digs one hole too many in this charming story and ends up missing dessert. (Also includes Scuffy the Tugboat, Tawny Scrawny Lion, and The Saggy Baggy Elephant.)

    Hamilton says: "Nicely Done"
    "Kids still love these stories"

The CD for the read-along edition of "Cars" was my son's favorite thing to listen to until I bought this collection. Every night, for weeks now, this CD has been the request at bedtime.

  • Wolves of the Calla: Dark Tower V

    • UNABRIDGED (26 hrs and 20 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By George Guidall
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Roland Deschain and his ka-tet are bearing southeast through the forests of Mid-World, the almost timeless landscape that seems to stretch from the wreckage of civility that defined Roland's youth to the crimson chaos that seems the future's only promise. Followers of Stephen King's epic series know Roland well, or as well as this enigmatic hero can be known. They also know the companions who have been drawn to his quest for the Dark Tower: Eddie Dean and his wife, Susannah; Jake Chambers; and Oy.

Amazon Customer says: "The Dark Tower Review - Part Five"
    "The Epic Continues"

If you're looking at this book then you have more than likely read or listened to the first four Dark Tower books. This one continues the story in another great adventure, and like the others leaves you wanting the next chapter of Roland and his ka-tet. Thankfully, those chapters are written and we can hear them later this year.

The Dark Tower is a masterpiece! This is my 6th time reading the entire series, and the only books I have ever re-read.

Geouge Guidall does a good job narrating, but it's hard to listen to him again after the previous 3 books read by the stellar Frank Muller.

  • The Drawing of the Three: The Dark Tower II

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 42 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By Frank Muller
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Stephen King returns to The Dark Towerin this second, mesmerizing volume in his epic series. After his confrontation with the man in black at the end of The Gunslinger, Roland awakes to find three doors on the beach of Mid-World's Western Sea, each leading to New York City but at three different moments in time. Through these doors, Roland must "draw" three figures crucial to his quest for the Dark Tower.

Kevin says: "If you read this, you're hooked"
"Audio Excellence, and an amazing story"

First, the Dark Tower series is King's greatest. I have re-read the series as each new book comes out. It's incredible.

Second, Frank Muller is absolutely one of the best people to have read an audio book. He can do a complete cast of characters and make you feel like you're listening to a radio play. I have bought books simply because they are read by him.

Seeing these titles finally available made me glad I'm part of the Audible Listener program. The hardest part will be waiting another month to get the next two.

  • Catch Me If You Can

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 36 mins)
    • By Frank W. Abagnale
    • Narrated By Barrett Whitener

Frank W. Abagnale was one of the most daring conmen, forgers, imposters, and escape artists in history. In his brief but notorious criminal career, Abagnale donned a pilot's uniform and copiloted a Pan Am jet, masqueraded as the supervising resident of a hospital, practiced law without a license, passed himself off as a college sociology professor, and cashed over $2.5 million in forged checks, all before he was 21. His story is now a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.

    Steve says: "Really entertaining!"
    "Really entertaining!"

This is very entertaining title and Barry Whitener does an incredible job narrating. Barry does the voices and acting so well you forget there's only one person performing.
