"Excellent Book!!"
Within minutes of finishing the first book, I was listening to this one. Great author, great narrorator, great story, great sequell. I'm always afraid of sequells because they usually don't live up to the orginal, but this one was equally entertaining. My only complaint is the fact that I have to wait so long for the next book.
"Great sequell!"
I ordered this book as soon as I finished Split Second. I love listening to a series and becoming more familiar with the characters. Scott Brick does an excellent job as the narrator, as usual.
"Hurwitz does it again!"
This was my third book by Hurwitz. The Crime Writer keeps you guessing until the end, and it doesn't hurt that it is narrated by Scott Brick! I listen to several books a week; mostly thriller/mysteries, and I really enjoyed this one!
"I'm now a Baldacci fan!"
I had never read anything from this author before this book. So glad I gave it a chance! Great thriller with lots of twists. I don't think I've listened to a book narrated by Scott Brick that I didn't like. I enjoyed this book so much that I bought the second book in this series as soon as I finished this one!
"A little slow at times, but still a good read."
I bought this book some time ago when it was on sail for $5. If I had paid a full credit, I might have been a little dissapointed. It was howeve worth what I paid for it. Although it is a little slow at times, it is still a decent read.
"Worth the Credit"
Some stories were surely better than others, but I still enjoyed the book. I especially liked Karen Slaughter, Joseph Finer, S. W. Hubbard and R.L. Stein. Glad I gave it a try!
"Great Thriller!"
Really enjoyed this book! Lots of twists and turns. Keeps you guessing. I'm quickly becoming a fan of Mr. Robert Crais!
"Coben is Gold!!"
This is my second Coben book and I am seriously hooked! Coben keeps you guessing right up to the end! Adding more Coben titles to my wish list now.
"No offense to Chris Kyle, but this was not for me."
My husband read this book and raved about it, so I thought I would give it a chance. (In the interest of full disclosure, my husband has NEVER read a book through. Seriously. I read all the time and he just doesn't get it. He thinks that books are a waste of his time. He downloaded the book to his phone and read, not listened to, but read it in a matter of three days. I was so stunned that something kept his attention, that I had to check it out.) Unfortunately, it was not for me. However, I'm grateful that the book sparked an interest in reading in my husband that no other book has done before.
From one verteran to another, Thank you for your service sir, RIP.
"Could not get into it."
I had read several of the other books in the series some time ago. I must have been at a different place at that time because I did not care for this book at all. I know it is a popular series and my negative review won't matter. It's not that the book or writing was terrible, it just wasn't for me. Maybe I got caugt up in the whole vampire scene several years ago, but I'm so over it now. I was thought I would try a different style of book, but I guess I will return to my mystery/thrillers.
"Wish I'd listened sooner!!!"
I'm sorry to say, but I've had this book in my wish list for 6 months or a year. I wish I'd listened sooner. This was a great book! Scott Brick is my favorite, so I may not be completely fair, but as usual, he did an excellent job with the story! I can't wait to try out others from Gregg Hurwitz!
