"loved it"
really loved this book.
"The Night Circus"
First off I bought this because Jim Dale narrated and I love how he reads a book, this was not a disappointment, he is wonderful. I really liked this book, kind of a fantasy for adults, it was refreshing to have to go a little deeper. I would have loved to have my teens read this but there was one part that I was concerned about, I dont know might still let them. The good messages outweigh. but all in all great book, kind I didnt want to turn off.
"Michael Vey"
I wasnt inclined to read this book. I bought it for my son to listen to and had it for at least six months before he swore to me that it was great, and that I should read it, and surprise yes it was great. One of the better ya books I have read in a while. I love that Richard Paul Evans put nothing in that I have to cringe while I let my kids read. Its a fun, exciteing fast paced story, and I will read the next installment more quickly.
"midnight in Peking"
I really liked this book. I was concerned because I had heard it was hard to heel for the murdered girl. I didnt feel that, I feel like the book was more about the men who tried to bring her justice, and I felt for these men. I dont feel like I really needed to identify with the victim. I identified with the flawed haunted father. Truth is really stranger than fiction. Well done.
"Better than I expected"
I bought this book because it was on sale and my son is kind of a Fan of Arthurian stories, I didnt really expect much, I have never been interested. To my surprise I liked the story it was entertaining, I found that I enjoyed the characters, that they were more complex than I expected. The story moved along smartly and didnt lull the way some fantasy can. When I began the book I thought the narrator sounded a little old for the part she read, but I think she grew on me and whithin an hour enjoyed the narration. But I read theis at work and it kept my attention and was quite entertaining.
"love this whole series"
I love this series, Jackie is a strong and stubborn heroine, not so fond of the boy she is chaseing, he seems insipid to me. Every book has been good. Look forward to every new installment
even my boys love to read about jackie, but be warned she is unconventional and there is some semi adult situations in these books. My Nine year old wants to marry jackie Faber.
"This book got my son reading"
My son was struggling in fifth grade reading when I got his this audio book, this turned on a whole new world of books for him, and I will be forever grateful.
"Love everything about this book"
I love this book, the characters are intrigueing and complex for a ya novel, no helpless female lead here. I would recomend this to my daughters the female lead is smart and sassy. Like Sophie even better in the latter part of the book. Howl is lazy and concieted but completely attractive. Great book, one you will get lost in. I just wish she was around to write more.
Its just magic, I would love to meet howl in real life, if one fictional character could leap from the pages I wish it would be him. I think sophie is very relateable, we all feel like we have nothing going for us and thatt everyone else must be prettier and smarter.
even if youve seen the movie read the book, one of the best things Ive read. In the top five
"yuk"
The language was horrible, The main character was unlikeable, I listened for an hour and turned it off. wow, havent read anything this bad in a long time.
no
Didnt find any that I cared enough about to keep
dont waste a credit
"This Story Does Not Feel 60 Years Old"
I was fascinated by the characters, He took a trite genre, (sci fy) disaster movie, and made it an intellegent and entertaining read. I was able to lose myself in this book, and that hasnt happened to me in a long time. I didnt exactly like his main character, he was a little bit of an intellectual snob, but I like the journey he takes and the lessons learned, and in the end I did feel for these people, and I did leave with a sense of hope.
The parts that struck me most were the parts that showcased his lonliness especially as he aged, something that I feel happens to most.
I listen at work and I found myself lost in the story and the time flying
This book did not feel 60 years old to me, I was hesitant to buy it but was pleasantly surprised.
"fun but a little overhyped"
I had to read this twice to really get into it. Entertaining, but Bella drives me NUTS can we say true victorian heroine, I got a little sick of the damsal in distress, and Edward was a wee bit controling. Come on get a back bone. But have hope, the series does get better, and it is fun.
