    I was surprised by this book. I thought it would be funny or sweet and making fun of southern ways, but I quickly found myself invested in the characters, their back stories and cheering and jeering for many. Aunt Florence wins hands down for best character.

    I had NO idea how much things had changed thru the years. Bloated, fat, unhappy and constipated I wandered thru life wondering what happened to me that I couldnt lose weight, I couldnt focus, I couldnt use the toilet like everyone else. Why do I have to have MS, sjoghrens, visual issues, and tummy aches. My naturopath gave me a diet and a list of books to read. After completely removing ALL grains from my diet my weight dropped easily and quickly without exercise and without going hungry. No more starvation, no more tricking myself into thinking I was doing good for myself by eating low fat, high fiber, and low sugar.

    Thank you for this book! I thought I was pretty enlightened about the food I ate. I was sooo wrong! from lot fed beef, to grains that hike your blood sugar to beans not being good for you. This book opened my eyes yet one more step towards being truly conscious about what I stuff in my gob.

    If you could sum up Codependent No More in three words, what would they be?

    This book reminds me to take care of ME first. We get spun into a circle of making sure everyone is cared for, nurtured,loved, fed, and their egos are boosted while silently fuming that our own needs go unmet. Why do I have to always be the one to reach out? This book helps to remind us that WE must take care of OUR needs first in order to be of any value to anyone else. I had forgotten that along the way.

    No, this book needs to be taken in sections and absorbed, if you race thru it you miss so much. it is the book you want to listen to 50 times because you learn something you missed on time 30 by rushing.

    Would you listen to Notorious Nineteen again? Why?

    I simply love love love this series. Funny, heartwarming, full of tangled messes that Lula and Stephanie get into, and who doesnt love grandma?! Crack up, laugh out loud funny.

    Stuffing the dwarf Briggs into the delivery box of a building so they could break and enter without breaking anything.
