... and the narration is so bad as to be unbelievable! The ridiculous imitation of male voices and british accents is so irritating that it is hard not to throw the the iPod to the floor and stomp on it.

In teeming Victorian London, where lavish wealth and appalling poverty live side by side, Edward Pierce charms the most prominent of the well-to-do as he cunningly orchestrates the crime of the century. Who would suspect that a gentleman of breeding could mastermind the daring theft of a fortune in gold? Who could predict the consequences of making the extraordinary robbery aboard the pride of England's industrial era, the mighty steam locomotive?

Odds On: The Making of an Evidence-Based Investor isn't just another investment advice book. It's a memoir, a manifesto, and a guide to the way investing should be. Odds On describes author Matt Hall's role in an ongoing revolution in the investment world: the shift from a traditional sales-driven, active-management model to a model that draws on academic evidence to better serve the real interests of investors.

If you’re looking for investment advise you won’t find any here. This is a pitch for an investment advisory firm cleverly sown together with a personal memoir. To sum it up, Warren Buffett is lucky, the market is unpredictable, and you can only make money if you become a client.

This is but a piece of highly biased and opinionated leftist political propaganda trying to come across as "the truth". The last chapter alone is the most blatant piece of demagoguery I've come across in decades. To top it all, someone forgot to tell the idiotic narrator that this is not a spooky story to frighten small children.

In 2006, an oddball group of bankers, traders and brokers from some of the world's largest financial institutions made a startling realization: Libor - the London interbank offered rate, which determines the interest rates on trillions in loans worldwide - was set daily by a small group of easily manipulated functionaries, and that they could reap huge profits by nudging it to suit their trading portfolios.

Like it or not, your every move is being watched and analyzed. Consumers' identities are being stolen, and a person's every step is being tracked and stored. What once might have been dismissed as paranoia is now a hard truth, and privacy is a luxury few can afford or understand. In this explosive yet practical book, Kevin Mitnick illustrates what is happening without your knowledge - and he teaches you "the art of invisibility".

Ever since a shred of shrapnel did a number on his brain's sleep center, Even Tanner has been awake 24/7. This gives him more time than your average underachiever. Time to learn the world's languages (he's fluent in Basque, but has trouble with Chinese). Time to embrace the world's lost causes and irredentist movements (The Flat Earth Society, the League for the Restoration of Cilician Armenia, the Society of the Left Hand). Time to write term papers theses for students with more money than knowledge.

At the risk of losing both, Wells stakes everything he owns at the roulette tables in Monte Carlo's world-famous casino - and in the space of a few days he breaks the bank, not once but 10 times, winning the equivalent of millions in today's money.
