This book, along with "No more mister nice guy," are the two best self help books I've ever found. This one is particular, helps me get out of my head when I'm stuck on some negative emotion. He is straight to the point and provides real world examples... He helps me be less neurotic.
In addition, his voice sounds a lot like John Cleese, which can give you a laugh or two, even if he doesn't mean to do it.
Not that all of his advice is perfect... There are things that happen in real life that this book can't hit on, but it's still very helpful.
I will say, this book is more realistic and helpful than much of the new-age stuff that just keeps pushing people to be more neurotic and obsessively worried about being too nice to each other, but not a lot better.
I got too tired of listening to what he was trying to sell me to make his living to finish the book. Luckily I'm a member and can refund this one... He had some good points, but not enough.
I really like his easy approach. It's effective and simple. He builds your knowledge systematically. I often don't even pay attention to as I have it on in the background while driving or cleaning, etc. and you find yourself constantly repeating spanish phrases without much of a problem.
It won't teach you to be fluent, but it's effective for building your skill and knowledge of spanish. I just wish they were longer and more in depth because I find his style of teaching very effective.
I hope he puts out many more spanish instruction audiobooks (though the third book won't play completely through, but this might be on audible's end).
Also, gave five stars on the story because that's a silly question on an instructional audiobook like this.
