The narration was the worst I've ever heard. Aside from his strange pronunciation of the simplest words, he took strange pauses in the middle of sentences reminiscent of a child just learning to read, having to sound the words out in his head before saying them aloud. I will never purposely download anything narrated by Peter Batchelor again, and I will probably avoid anything produced by Trout Lake Media as well.
I listen to audiobooks primarily while driving in my car, so I would say it was time decently spent. Had I listened on my leisure time, I might not have thought so.
He tended to FREQUENTLY emphasis syllables at odd places. He enters pauses at strange places as well. He seems to have an australian accent, which is odd for a british-based book. His attempt at the Scottish accent is more atrocious than mine.
I would NOT watch this book if it were put on the big screen. It's far too fantastical for my tastes. I don't mind reading about it, but it would be too much to watch.
