Can't beat a Burke/Patton combo.? Burke always delivers and Patton is so smooth you are transferred right through the narrating like you can touch the leaves and feel like you are walking the streets of NO.?

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Great read. Narration was perfect. I felt like i knew these ladies at the end of the book, and i wanted to be sitting around the kitchen table with them. This is a chick book, but if you are a well rounded man, you will like it as well. It's a coming of age story set in the suppressed deep south.

If you like true crime this is an awesome read. Growing up in NJ, i could identify with many landmarks and i was there when this madman was on the loose!! This is a sad and ironic story- you can almost identify with the killer. A must read if you like the sadistic side.

Celia says: "Terrific value for the best of Inspector Rebus"
    "not great"

This was a difficult book to get through. The brogue was hard to understand and the characters fuzzy. I made it to the end and it was OK, but the worst book ive listened to so far.

In Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates, the wise, witty, always gutsy Tom Robbins brings onstage the most complex and compelling character he has ever created. But to describe a Robbins plot does not begin to describe a Robbins novel - you must hear it for yourself! Browse other Tom Robbins at audible.com.

    Rupa says: "Wildly entertaining-excellent naration!"
    "Incredible"
    Overall

This was my first Robbins novel and I've become a big fan since. Robbins writes true verbal poetry. He is a verbage master. This novel is not for the flighty or easy going listener. This is a crazy novel that takes many different paths and has many tones and undertones. You have to pay attention to "get" it all. If you love quirky, intelligent writing that is nonconventional, you will love Robbins. If you are straight laced and simple minded, pass this book up.

People start dropping dead around Charlie, giant ravens perch on his building, and it seems that everywhere he goes, a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Strange names start appearing on his nightstand notepad, and before he knows it, those people end up dead, too. Yup, it seems that Charlie Asher has been recruited for a new job, an unpleasant but utterly necessary one: Death.

    "dark and amuzing"
    Overall

A different kind of book--it is dark, but you dont know it until you get into it, and then you are laughing and so amuzed that it doesnt matter that this is a true science fiction story. Open your minds and enjoy this interesting work. Fisher Stevens is a plus narrating. He seems to have alot of fun with the characters.
