Sam Capra has one reason to live: to rescue his baby son from the people who abducted him. An ex-CIA agent, Sam now owns bars around the world as cover for his real mission - working undercover for a secret network as mysterious as it is powerful, while using his skills to find his child. Now the kidnappers have offered a deadly deal: they'll surrender Sam's child... if Sam finds and murders the one man who can expose them.

First, the unthinkable: a security breach at a secret U.S. government facility unleashes the monstrous product of a chilling military experiment. Then, the unspeakable: a night of chaos and carnage gives way to sunrise on a nation, and ultimately a world, forever altered. All that remains for the stunned survivors is the long fight ahead and a future ruled by fear—of darkness, of death, of a fate far worse.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not particularly. Too long and it ends on a cliff-hanger. After listening to the audiobook for close to 40 hours, I wanted a satisfying ending.

Would you recommend The Passage to your friends? Why or why not?

No. Too long. Very similar to other post-apocalyptic novels.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Scott Brick is one of the best narrators and he is the only reason why I finished the audiobook.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Depends upon how long the movie is. If its condensed to two hours, yes.

For the first time in Spellman history, Isabel Spellman might be the most normal member of her family. Mom has taken on an outrageous assortment of extracurricular activities. Dad has a secret. Her brother and sister are at war, but neither will reveal the source of the conflict. While domestic disturbances abound, there is one source of sanity in the Spellman household: Demetrius Merriweather, employee of the month for 18 months straight. Things aren't any simpler on the business side of Spellman Investigations....

What did you love best about Trail of the Spellmans?

Trail of the Spellmans is one of the best books in the series. I love the progression of the Spellmans as they face new milestones in their lives. Christina Moore gives a top notch performance as Izzie. If you like a little comedy with your mystery, I would strongly recommend this series!
