"Exciting well written"
Enjoyed this book very much. Written in a diary fashion which is not done very often so it added some realism to the tale. I would have scored this 4.75 because it does end rather abruptly and that was the only negative to this book. I will probably read / listen to this one again.
"Authentic Feel"
Story had a realistic feel. Story spent a lot of time developing. Bronson Pinchot did a great job narrating used unique voices for all main characters it really added to the book. Book well worth the credit.
"Good Book on the Horror that was WWII"
Best part of the book is the 4th part and the conclusion. The review of the Eastern Front was fantastic. At times it did go into a list of number troops, types of weaponry which did not translate to audio probably be fine in the written form. If you like History this is a well written book that went into great depth on most areas of the war. I will recommend this for my farther I think he will enjoy as well.
"Oldy but a Goody"
I was not sure about this book when I started but by the end it was very enjoyable albeit fairly short. It is a fast and action packed book. I have never seen the movie I may now. Excellent novel if you like the Thiller / Spy genere of books.
"Dramatic Conclusion"
If you like Daemon by the same author you will love the conclusion. Well written and narated. I would recommend to friends if they like this type of novel.
"Wow a fantastic book"
It took nearly a month for me to listen to this book. The narrative was wonderfully done by Scott Brick. The world Justin Cronin has written is enthralling detailed. The book was slightly depressing but I think all post apocalyptic / horror / sci-fi book are, aren't they? This book is combination King / Crichton novel. Now that it is over I am sad it had to end. The ending seems to indicate that this will be a series but who knows time will tell.
