When Garry talks about battling cancer, not telling people, and still carrying on at work. He shares his concerns of life and his concerns and affection for other people.

His voice. I love that the author is reading it. It's almost like you can feel him remember his story. His tone of voice just brings the entire thing to life. It's good to hear him tell his story.

Being a film student and knowing that it's incredibly hard to be on film sets, it was nice to see messing around happening on pro sets too. He talks about how on one day, he got really upset and threw his cane into the air and it hit someone. So the next day everyone wore hard hats.

This is a great account of this guys story. It was very entertaining to listen to.

This guys voice is so awesome. It's the perfect voice to tell his own story.

It's interesting to hear who he admires and his experiences growing up to now. If you're wanting a lot of case information I don't feel like a ton of info is here (it's definitely there just not lengthy.) I think that's the point though, to be about him and not the case.

My only complaint would be that he uses metaphors beautifully but way too often.

Overall it's informative and brings a lot to light on the abortion industry. You can tell he's slanted to pro life but I appreciate how he explains pro life and pro choice thinking processes because he was so pro choice before.

In the beginning it has a lot of medical jargon so I had to pray I could get through it haha but then the author started to talk about how he grew up and talked about his experience becoming a doctor and going through college. Then I felt like I got sucked into the book.

He later describes more medical things so I was a bit confused from time to time but he still explained personal and public events powerfully.

Such a powerful book. To hear a full story of this princess' experience just brings you in and really makes you feel for her. I hope something can be done for women in Saudi Arabia... :(

I wasn't sure if I liked this at first. The writing is very direct and simple which isn't bad but sometimes felt a little flat. However, I did enjoy being inside her head. She can be a bit repetitive but hearing her talk about her faith gave me a different perspective into her Catholic prayer life and her relationship with God. Basically this book is following her prayers throughout her journey. It's rare to get to hear a person's perspective on their relationship with God that just presents itself as it is instead of preaching it to you.

The down to earth way of the preacher makes him relatable. He is honest about his fears and unbelief at events. He does a great job describing all the people he meets, specifically gang members and his experiences with them.

It does get slow around the 5 hour mark when he talks about the organization that he created. It picks up again about 30-45 minutes to the end.

Hathaway voices all the characters differently and adds emotion to the voices. It's absolutely awesome. I love the way these books are written as well. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. No regrets at all picking this one of the many choices!

I LOVED how this book began. The way he weaves information about his life as a child and now was great.

However, as the book goes on it becomes VERY repetitive on how he didn't remember things. I do think that's just the honest truth, that through these addictions he really doesn't remember things but listening to ''I can't remember'' a lot becomes frustrating after a while.

The part that really bothered me though was the very end, he doesn't end the book on himself. He talks about a girl he got to go to an addiction meeting. It ends on him saying she can start her life over. I understand the point of it, that he's passing on the torch but the book not ending about Mike Doughty, or having anything to do with him just kind of left things in the air. I felt like he took me on this journey with him and he just left me in the dust all the sudden.

I like the music that accompanies the narration and there are fun sound effects. Very cute.

I cracked up so much listening to this. At the end there's an interview from the creators which was kind of fun.

This book is really about development of children (and adults too really but they aren't mentioned) on how to nurture others and love them.

This book is simple, sweet and informative. It's quick to listen to and isn't bogged down with someone who just wants to show you their knowledge. He seems to really care and has simple ways of teaching about life. There's a happy sad reality to it.
