Once past the brief story question opening, I found myself thinking: BORINGGGGGG!!!!, and there is still 39 hours and 40 minutes to go!! Well, I hate listening to the news, its so depressing, and silence tends to make me fall asleep thereby greatly impacting my ability to stay in the correct lane of traffic, so I decided to persevere and, by and by, I got hooked. I would tend to attribute a portion of this to the excellent narration of Scott Brick who brought the characters completely alive. Except for a number of technical and/or historical inaccuracies and oversights and despite the fact that Mr. Littell tends to paint the CIA with the brush of sainthood, something anyone with a smidgen of historical knowledge knows to be far from the truth, this was, overall, an engaging story with engaging characters. Was it worth 40 plus hours of commute time? You bet!
