    If you're fourteen books into the Dresden Files, you've spent enough time with Harry and enough time listening to James Marsters to know the kind of roller coaster you're in for, and this one has some doozies. (If you haven't spent much time with Harry, I don't recommend jumping in here because while some of the earlier novels try to be jumping-on points, this one is entirely built on continuity you're assumed to already know, so it's easy to get lost if it's your first Dresden Files novel.)

    The story is solid, though it tends to spin its wheels a bit in the middle, and James Marsters is fantastic as always.
