In the highly-anticipated sequel to The Silence of the Lambs and the final book in the trilogy that started with Red Dragon, seven years have passed since Dr. Hannibal Lecter escaped from custody, seven years since FBI Special Agent Clarice Starling interviewed him in a maximum security hospital for the criminally insane.

Would you try another book from Thomas Harris and/or Thomas Harris?

Yes. Enjoyed SIlence and Red Dragon

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The things that happen in this book makes me fear for Mr. Harris' sanity. And the sudden and completely out of character ending suffers from the abridged reading.

Have you listened to any of Thomas Harris’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No.

Do you think Hannibal needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

From the things I've heard about Hannibal Rising, no.

Legends never die....Old friends are reunited and ancient secrets revealed as Kirk, Spock, Picard, Riker, Data, and all of the Federation's best and brightest are enmeshed in a cosmic saga that will test their strengths and loyalties to the very limit. A personal tale of tragedy and triumph that could only have been written - and read - by William Shatner!

Shatner is a great narrator and the sound effects are surprisingly good. But the shortened version cuts out too much plot leaving you confused.

At least there aren't the incredibly annoying characters like in Kill Decision. But overall the plot is not too enticing.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Great story and narrator. But the big reveal is a little clichéd. I still listened to it all night.

Who is that hairy guy in the green Speedo? Rob Delaney is a father, a husband, a comedian, a writer. He is the author of an endless stream of beautiful, insane jokes on Twitter. He is sober. He is sometimes brave. He speaks French. He loves women with abundant pubic hair and saggy naturals. He has bungee jumped off of the Manhattan Bridge. He enjoys antagonizing political figures. He listens to metal while he works out. He likes to fart. He broke into an abandoned mental hospital with his mother.

If you're one of the perverts who follow Rob on Twitter then definitely pickup this book to see what makes him tick (or cum). Just know this book is light on jokes (listen to his album if you want punchlines about pants-sauce). Rob's struggle with booze is moving and eye-opening about what's it like to crave substances.

If I wanted to read a travel book I'd buy something by Michael Palin. I couldn't even finish this book because I couldn't give a damn about the plot. Dan Brown's writing has always been dumb, but at least exciting. Just watch a Youtube video about Florence and save yourself the trouble.

Their captain's insane vision of a Northwest Passage has kept the crewmen of HMS Terror trapped in Arctic ice for two years without a thaw. But the real threat to their survival isn't the ever-shifting landscape of white, the provisions that have turned to poison, or the ship slowly buckling in the grip of the frozen ocean. The real threat is whatever is out in the frigid darkness, stalking their ship, snatching and brutally killing their fellow seamen.

I was skeptical if a horror novel can really work in audible form. Turns out I need not be concerned because it was not scary. Exciting sure, but not scary. Lost did the mysterious polar bear better, and Monty Python did the cannibalism bit better. Still a great read for nautical fans.

A clear-sighted revelation, a deep penetration into the world of Scientology by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of the The Looming Tower, the now-classic study of al-Qaeda’s 9/11 attack. Based on more than 200 personal interviews with both current and former Scientologists - both famous and less well known - and years of archival research, Lawrence Wright uses his extraordinary investigative ability to uncover for us the inner workings of the Church of Scientology.

The incomparable master of the legal thriller takes us deeper into the labyrinth that is the American justice system, always drawing us in with an irresistible hook, pulling the thread of tension tighter and tighter, and then knocking us out with a conclusion that's never "by the book". Maybe that's why, after more than 20 years of consecutive number-one New York Times best sellers, a new novel by America's favorite storyteller is still a major publishing event.
