Based on Stanford University psychologist Kelly McGonigal's wildly popular course The Science of Willpower, The Willpower Instinct is the first book to explain the new science of self-control and how it can be harnessed to improve our health, happiness, and productivity. Informed by the latest research and combining cutting-edge insights from psychology, economics, neuroscience, and medicine, The Willpower Instinct explains exactly what willpower is, how it works, and why it matters.

The Willpower Instinct is probably the best book i've read that really defines such things as chocolate cravings, and giving up on a diet, or project or even a relationship. It brings the science behind what makes us give up in an easy-to grasp manner. The suggestions in the book are easy to follow through, even for those who lack motivation, except that of overcoming giving up on things. The keyword however that i can use to summarize this whole excellent book is "awareness". Just be aware of yourself, and bring back your awareness to your every task, and even every breath, and you have secured yourself the willpower you need to overcome your challenges. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

The Diamond Approach features insights refined from Almaas' 30 years of teaching, including how he has helped thousands around the globe "do the work" by investigating reality, developing emotional wholeness, uncovering their true essence, and realizing the non-duality of being.

This one was a tough program to comprehend. I'm reading the four books of the Diamond Approach. Along with this program they are very interesting. But by no means an easy read. The ideas Almaas talks about are new to me, i found some ideas difficult to grasp. He talks about essences, and how each has a taste and color. I love this concept. I especially enjoyed the last part of the program. The program calls for self observation, and awareness. I don't think it is possible to get the best benefit out of it just by reading. One needs to deeply look into her self to begin to understand the concepts Almaas is presenting.

I have to say, i'm a Caroline Myss' addict. Can't have enough of her books, and i'm constantly listening over and over again to her audios. I can't have enough of learning about mystical laws, and especially from people, like Myss who respect other cultures and religions. Her language may seem a bit strong for many, but the Truths she tells are food for thought and spirit. Love this program. Love Myss.

Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky. Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages - not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color.

This audio is a jewel. Every time i replay it i find a new takeaway from the enlightened advice of Myss. She handles the topic of self esteem with such ability, that it is impossible not to follow her advice instantly. I have to highlight that her advice transcends nationality, background and religion. I can easily relate to what she describes. I especially loved the fact that she insists that self esteem is a verb. One difficult verb to commit to, i have to add. But oh-so worth it.

The narration is fun. English is second language to my family, but my 2-year old enjoyed listening to it; she is learning new words as she listens and repeats the words. I do need, however, to get the hardcopy to add to her learning experience. I recommend it to non-English speakers. It will boost the child's vocabulary in English as well as in their native tongue.

I listened to this audio twice; I intend to listen to it few more times. The beauty in Myss' work is it comes genuine in its ideas, without being foreign or "totally out there". I appreciate the way she talks about the different spiritual traditions, and the stories she relates throughout her book.
The ideas of freedom of choice and "sacred contracts" resonate strongly with me, especially with the on-going media about "you create your life" and the merciless pointing of fingers at others "i would never do that in my life". We really need to regain compassion when we look at others lives: respecting their journeys and contracts.
The part on archetypes and casting the personal archetype chart is especially intriguing to me. I will be listening to audio on the subject next.

Social Media is good term for one-on-one communication with customers and a critical emphasis on survival and productive efforts by all organizations - for-profit, non-profit, educational, governmental, and unions. Marketers have long done this with ads, coupons, in-store discounts, premiums, and other such things. Now many are drilling down and capturing names, email addresses, and individual information.
