Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

Warren says: "Tina Fey broke my new SUV"
"Didn't know I could love Tina Fey anymore but I do"
    Overall

Great book, great reading and the only thing I would like would be more of it! I could seriously listen to her for about fifteen more hours. Great insights into her life and I love all the funny and interesting tidbits that she throws in there about 30 Rock. While it may not be a smash hit, it is undoubtedly the best show on t.v., I'm sorry for anybody who hasn't watched it! They don't know what they are missing!
Great book, I would recommend it to others and like I said the only thing I could wish for would be more of it! So I guess I will await her second book!

Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden is Chicago's only openly practicing wizard. He is also dead broke. His vast knowledge and magical skills are unfortunately matched by his talent for making powerful enemies and alienating friends. With little more than his integrity left, he accepts an offer of work from Lt. Karin Murphy of Chicago's Special Investigations Unit. He wants to redeem himself in Murphy's eyes and make enough money to quiet his rumbling stomach.

pterion says: "I'm liking Harry more and more"
    "Annoying characters"
    Overall

I would love to love this series and I tried, I read the first and now this one. But the cop character is a royal pain in the rear. The most unrealistic character and the things she does, and yet Harry still loves her to death. Makes no sense at all!
And the reader, good lord is there any way he can read without all the sighing and mouth chomping, I can hear his saliva in his mouth it is absolutely disgusting.
I know it's possible for readers to not do this because there are many many well read audiobooks, but this one is just not one of them.

Dashing young Edmond Dantès has everything: a fine reputation, an appointment as captain of a ship, and the heart of a beautiful woman. But his perfect life is shattered when three jealous friends conspire to destroy him. Falsely accused of a political crime, Dantès is locked away for life in the infamous Chateau d'If prison. But it is there that Dantès learns of a vast hidden treasure.

Sanford Rosenberg says: "What a pleasure to read a classic!"
    "Amazing!!"
    Overall

I'm not sure how much I can add other than to say you must read this! If you haven't yet had the opportunity you should. John Lee is an amazing narrator and I am tempted to buy many more books just because he is narrating them!
Of course the story is a classic and so very fun to listen to. There are a few times where I was confused as to where we were and what was going on, but that was the way it was supposed to be, everything gets explained, you just have to be patient. I had a great time listening and will probably listen again!

To five-year-old Jack, Room is the entire world. It is where he was born and grew up; it's where he lives with his Ma. Room is home to Jack, but to Ma, it is the prison where Old Nick has held her captive for seven years. Through determination, ingenuity, and fierce motherly love, Ma has created a life for Jack. But she knows it's not enough...not for her or for him. She devises a bold escape plan, but what she does not realize is just how unprepared she is for the plan to actually work.

Kathleen says: "A truly memorable read"
    "Great original story!"
    Overall

I really enjoyed listening to this book. Really original and makes you think. I was moved to tears a couple of times during this story.
The voice of Jack was distracting at first but grows on you!
I would recommend this book to others!
