After her behavior during her drug years, Emily realizes she has a lot to prove. Would you consider the audio edition of Downfall to be better than the print version?

I am eclectic when it comes to reading, using printed books, MP3 audios and e-readers. I love all of Terri Blackstock's books, so I enjoy them in all mediums. I did not read this book in print, so can't compare it. What I can say is, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it and the characters were real to me. That must mean Cassandra Campbell did a great job narrating!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Downfall?

The most memorable moment was when Emily remembered someone who had overheard their conversations and had a grudge against her, as well as others.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    When Kent proposed to Barbara.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

What do you do when everyone thinks you have fallen back into your old ways and even you can't explain what is happening?

    Any additional comments?

The mother's attitude was very frustrating to me. Her fears seemed over the top and she wouldn't listen to Emily's denials. If I had been Emily, I would have been heartbroken that my own mother could turn on me so quickly. She never gave her the benefit of the doubt.

Born in shadow and kept from heads of state, there are some missions so deadly, so sensitive, that they simply don't exist. so deadly, so sensitive, that they simply don't exist. When one such mission goes horribly wrong, a wave of dramatic terrorist attacks is set in motion. Their goal: the complete and total collapse of the United States. With the CIA's intelligence abilities hobbled, former Navy SEAL Team 6 member turned covert counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath launches an audacious plan to infiltrate the terrorists' network and prevent one of the biggest threats the U.S. has ever faced.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Not sure. It depends on whether they like in-depth, terrorist, clandestine operation-type stories.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked all the characters. I liked the surprise when they hit the cell where the car was parked with the book on the dash.

What about Armand Schultz???s performance did you like?

Voices were clearly defined in most cases. Easy to tell who was talking.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me nervous that such a large-scaled attack could really happen.

    Any additional comments?

A little deep for me, but I am sure there are those who would love.it. It is the first book I've read by Brad Thor, so maybe if I was more familiar with his writing I would have enjoyed it more.

The book is very well-written. Just not my genre, I guess.

New York book editor Maris Matherly-Reed knows a best seller when she sees one - even if it is just a tantalizing partial manuscript submitted by a writer identified only as P.M.E., with the return address of an obscure island off the Georgia coast. Maris is intrigued enough to search for him.

If you could sum up Envy in three words, what would they be?

    Enticing, electric, emotional

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. The writer's story was richly layered and kept you wondering what was going to happen next.

What does Victor Slezak bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

His voice really resonated for me as the character of the writer. It seemed to fit him perfectly. I wouldn't want to hear him in anyone else's voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. When she discovered her husband's involvement.

    Any additional comments?

Something about Slezak's voice brought the writer's taunting way of speaking to life for me. Hard and crusty, but just a cover up to hide his pain. Would love to hear him narrate more of this character. Will look for more books narrated by him.
