"Narator's southern drawl . . ."
I enjoyed the storyline, but had problems with the naration. Judith Ivey's southern drawl made all of the men in this book come across as nitwits. This distracted from the story, for me.
This is the second book I've listened to by Karin Slaughter. I've enjoyed her stories. I will continue to listen to others of her books.
"Shadow Divers Was Great!"
I was a little hesitant to listen to this book since I have never been interested in WWII and German U boats. I am a recreational diver and this is why I decided to purchase it. I was happily surprised with this one. I enjoyed all aspects of the book and even learned something about WWII, WITHOUT any pain! It was beautifully written and narated very well. There were a few 4 letter words, but otherwise it was a clean book:something I always appreciate. I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in diving, WWII and German history.
"A Lotus Grows in the Mud"
I've always admired Goldie Hawn and so was interested in her story. This was a very interesting book because I saw that she has a spiritual side that she continues to grapple with. The book is incredibly squeeky clean and I appreciate that very much. I would recommend it to any who love Goldie Hawn and her works.
