Before the Great Wars and the Old Race of Man, there was a world populated by different beings: elves, demons, faeries, and the like. The Elves and the Demons constantly fought each other, until the Elves finally imprisoned them with the enchanted tree called the Ellcrys. Thousands of years later the Ellcrys still survives and still keeps the Demons imprisoned within the Spell of Forbidding, but not for much longer, the Ellcrys is dying.

When I read the book I really enjoyed it, however I could not take the narrator and had to stop listening to the book. He uses the exact same cadence for every sentence, excitement at the beginning and fading almost completely by the end. It actually becomes rather droning. Even though he changes inflection, it doesn't go with what is happening in the story. It'll put you right to sleep, if it doesn't annoy you too much first.

Webmind - the vast consciousness that spontaneously emerged from the infrastructure of the World Wide Web - has proven its worth to humanity by aiding in everything from curing cancer to easing international tensions. But the brass at the Pentagon see Webmind as a threat that needs to be eliminated. Caitlin Decter-the once-blind 16-year-old math genius who discovered, and bonded with, Webmind - wants desperately to protect her friend. And if she doesn't act, everything - Webmind included - may come crashing down.

What disappointed you about WWW: Wonder?

I felt like I was being lectured to. Even if I agree with the authors philosophy, I still felt it was in my face. I don't like being preached to! I think almost 1/2 of the last book is preaching, including one 25 min. lecture. That was torture. If it wasn't the second to last chapter, I would have stopped listening then.

What was most disappointing about Robert J. Sawyer???s story?

The story was good, but I think he forgot to finish hobo's part. The humans never even realized that he had web sight too, and was painting it. I waited for that the whole trilogy.

What character would you cut from WWW: Wonder?

non, I think I would have liked to see some of the characters developed more.

    Any additional comments?

The readers were fantastic, one of the best I have heard yet.

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.
