    I tried, I really did. I listen to this as long as I could. A little over an hour. It just didn't grab me. Oh heck, it was mindless drivel. I saw no point to this story, I saw no story at all.

    I have read several of Tad Williams books and have enjoyed them. I listened to this whole series and it was just Ok. It starts out very slow, and plugs along. If you buy the first book, listen to it before you buy any of the others. I got this whole series before I listened to it,because I had enjoyed the authors prior works. I will not do that again. I would not have bought this book if I had listened to the first book before buying.

    I first read this series long ago. I have been waiting for ages for it to come out in audio format. It is as good as I remember. I couldn't put it down. I am hoping for the last book to come out soon. This is one I could listen to over and over.
