Is there anything you would change about this book?

NY'r has cut back on content over the last year. Fewer articles and writers are not bad but not up to NYs quality expectations.

If you’ve listened to books by the authors before, how does this one compare?

I'll give the NY'r audible one more year- if it continues to shrink, journalistically and literally, I'll drop it next year.

What does Dan Bernard and Christine Marshall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

For the most part, these are pros.

Was The New Yorker, January 7th 2013 (Adam Green, Lauren Collins, Hendrik Hertzberg) worth the listening time?

Ehhhh- pickpicket was an interesting listen.. everything else ZZZZZZZZ

Would you listen to A Conflict of Interest again? Why?

Yes. The story kept my attention, characters were believable and memorable.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Edge is an overstatement, but it held my interest.

He adds some great voices and intonation.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

    What disappointed you about Bossypants?

As much as I enjoy Tina Fey, this was one where she didn't leave me wanting more. At some point an artist can become too much and this was it.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Tina Fey?

    Probably not.

    Any additional comments?

An actor wants to leave them wanting more...in this case I just wanted her to leave.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If this was available in an abridged format, I would recommend. The issues, commercial and philosophical are interesting, but over a 12-13 hour time frame were very redundant.

What does Stephen Bowlby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Nothing negative against narrator, but I would prefer the printed version so I could skim and be done with the story in an hour or two. This isn't a story to savor, but basic points are good conversation topics.

If you have ever felt like a misfit in school or been paralyzed by your family’s imposing expectations, if you have ever obsessed about your appearance or panicked about choosing a career path, if you have ever wondered if every single thing to which your body is exposed, from egg yolks to X-rays, might harm you, then you may be surprised to find a kindred spirit in The Man in the Gray Flannel Skirt.

Yeah, he's a story teller, but I finished the book with the same feeling that I have after lunch with an excessively disclosing, dysfunctional co-worker. I couldn't wait to get away and wanted to shake my head like an etch a sketch to clear out the visuals. I am disappointed and insulted by audible bringing this to suggested reading. Probably my worst audible experience to date. Run AWAY!!
