From his penthouse lair high above Manhattan, Dageus looks out over a glittering city that calls to the darkness within him. A 16th-century Scot trapped between worlds, he is fighting a losing battle with the 13 Druids who possess his soul, dooming him to an eternity of sexual pursuit. When Chloe Zanders, student of antiquities, is drawn into his world, she finds the insatiable alpha male an irresistible lure.

This is the final book in the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning. I am a great Diana Gabaldon fan and I must say I found this series is as wonderful as the Outlander books.

In "The Dark Highlander" we follow the life and love of Dageus MacKeltar through time and back. Suffice to say the characters are wonderful, sassy, humorous, and heart wrenching.

The story is complicated and intriguing. I found myself holding my breath and crying at times throughout. We pick up where the fourth book ended and learn more of the characters from "Kiss of the Highlander". This is one of the reasons I think I enjoyed this book so much. I felt bereft when "Kiss of the Highlander" ended and wanted more. I was totally delighted and never let down to this end.

The characters are charming, at times ruthless and always deep and rich. Adam Black returns initially to my chagrin. Without giving away too much he is in fine form and I found myself liking him more and more.

Phil Gigante narrates all of the books in the series. His accents are flawless to my untrained ear. So I can only offer that I enjoyed the narration with no problems and a great deal of joy.

I highly recommend the entire series.

It is the middle of the 20th century, and in a home economics program at a prominent university, real babies are being used to teach mothering skills to young women. For a young man raised in these unlikely circumstances, finding real love and learning to trust will prove to be the work of a lifetime. In this captivating novel, bestselling author Lisa Grunwald gives us the sweeping tale of an irresistible hero and the many women who love him.

I found The Irresistible Henry House to be a wonderful read. The concept was new to me and the main characters, although not very sympathetic were well constructed.

The period covered in the book, 40s to 60s, I could identify with so perhaps that is why I enjoyed the book so much.

Henry House and his many mothers in the early part of the book were fun. Oliver Wyman did a fantastic job with the narration.

    I would recommend this book.

Personal vendettas, hidden treasure, and a monkey named Carl will send bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on her most explosive adventure yet. Dom Rizzi robbed a bank, stashed the money, and did the time. His family couldn't be more proud. He always was the smart one. Joe Morelli, Dom Rizzi, and Dom's sister, Loretta, are cousins. Morelli is a cop, Rizzi robs banks, and Loretta is a single mother waiting tables at the firehouse. The all-American family.

I have read all of the Plum books and I must say Fearless Fourteen is one of my favorites. There was Stephanie, Morelli, Ranger and all the regulars plus some old friends and new.

Mooner was back which is where I got most of my chuckles. He is such a rich character and the way he interacts with Stephanie is extremely humorous. Oh there was a monkey too which had me laughing out loud.

The two hunks in Stephanie's life are back finer than ever. If I was Stephanie I don't think I could choose so I guess she shouldn't for a while yet.

The central story is simply great and all of the smaller ones weave in well so fun and sleuthing builds nicely. In the end we are left waiting for ------- Fifteen. I can't wait!

Lorelei King does a wonderful narration. I must say I had a bit of trouble transitioning from C.J. Critt but now I am very comfortable with Miss King.
