C'mon Jen, you have milked this series long enough, same people, same plot (almost) sloppy sloppy sloppy.

Then again I hear book 10 is also just a recap. Both my wife & I have enjoyed most of the books but it is time to move on.

Welcome to Gramayre - where witches, warlocks, elves, and gnomes are real; where a spoiled girl-queen and an army of teenage witches, and ragtag beggars battle an overwhelming force of rebel knights and time-travelling anarchists for the future of the most unique, and perhaps most important, planet in the galaxy.

I couldn't listen to this book, there are different levels of volume for each individual character, the robot is inaudilble at times and some of the voices are indecipherable. Characterisation of character voices is so amateurish. I struggled through the first half then gave up.
Dont try to listen to it in the car it will drive you nuts trying to hear the slurred voices above the normal road noise and in some cases even with normal background room noise I can't understand what some characters are saying.

Read this series of books 40 years ago, they were a classic then as they are now. Good story line if not a bit dated, well narrated.
Damsels in distress, who will save the galaxy type story. Uncomplicated single story line without trying to create a literary masterpiece.
    I recommend the series.

    Overall

This was one of my first audio books. It took a while to get into and I never quite made it and I finished the book a bit dissapointed. I think the story is quite good with a few laughs thrown in, to be fair I think it should rate a bit higher than 3 and will listen to again later. Narration was very good.

I picked this novel based on customer feedback, I bought the first two books in fact. I can see how the story would just go on and on. I found the books monotonous after a while with the extremely in depth descriptons of the battles taking up much of the story. Seeing how the story never seems to end I doubt I will continue with the series.
    Narration was quite good however.

Detective Elijah Baley is called to the Spacer world Aurora to solve a bizarre case of roboticide. The prime suspect is a gifted roboticist who had the means, the motive, and the opportunity to commit the crime. There's only one catch: Baley and his positronic partner, R. Daneel Olivaw, must prove the man innocent. For in a case of political intrigue and love between woman and robot gone tragically wrong, there's more at stake than simple justice.
