    When the spacecraft Discipline reached the double-star system of T3 and LeVoy's Star, its crew discovered that an immense doughnut-shaped gaseous envelope had formed around a neutron star. Though it had very little usable land, the Smoke Ring had evolved a variety of life forms, most of which were edible and all of which could fly.

    but this audio was spoiled by the reading. This reader, whose voice I like sonically, unfortunately seems not to want to distinguish paragraphes, or changes of scene, etc, so the narration is confusing. I lost interest about a third of the way in, it just became too much of a chore.
