"Flawless Narration and a mostly engrossing tale"
There are enough reviews of this book that I don't need to cover the synopsis, if you buy this book, you know what you are getting into. The narration is spectacular, Steven Weber does an amazing job of bringing each character to life and I can't imagine how it could be improved.
For the most part I also enjoyed the story. I will say that one section of the story takes Stephen King's tendency for sexual content far enough that for me personally I regret reading the book. I am not particularly prudish and haven't had a problem with his other books and their content but without giving away plot points, if you have reservations about sexually explicit material then I would pick another title. If not, enjoy a fantastically imaginative and supremely well read novel.
