Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles. Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial killer case. They quickly realize that not only the last two victims were werewolves - all of them were.

How could the performance have been better?

I found Holter Graham's interpretation of Charles' character disconcerting and off-putting. This is the first of these books I've listened to rather than read, and the mindless, moronic thug Graham portrays is not the impression I got of Charles when I read the books.

Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden has had a rough couple of weeks. As the only openly practicing professional wizard in the Chicago area, he has squared off against a multitude of supernatural bad guys. Harry has won the day against demons, poltergeists, sorcerers, trolls, vampires, werewolves, and even an evil faerie godmother. You might think nothing could spook him. You would be wrong.

    Overall

I love the Dresden Files series, but I haven't even gotten through half of this audiobook production, and I'm irritated. I'm not sure if I will finish listening to this book, and I'm not sure if I will buy another audiobook in this series. The narrator has mispronounced a number of the words, and now I find that I'm just waiting for the next wrong word. I don't blame the narrator, I blame the company that produced it, cause they really should have caught this and had it corrected before it went into production.
