"All I've Ever Wanted"
What a remarkable journey into the lives of Gideon and Eva. The narration was a delight. The book was perfect. Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways:
The Narrator was fabulous, (after listening to this book, now one of my top 3 all time favorites)
The Plot was simply the best, the sexual tension/scenes, the pleasure, the eagerness, the characters, the anxiety, the love, the fulfillment, the laughs, the tears, the longing for the next book. I am now officially obsessed with the Crossfire series.
This book has little (very little) likeness to Fifty Shades of Gray.
My note to publisher and Author:
I hate you for making me wait until June for the next book.
"LOVE LOOVE LOOOVE"
Absolutely loved it. My immediate thoughts after the first chapter was “great..... another attempt to re-write Fifty Shades of Gray.” In the end, I was totally wrong, I laughed, got angry, was repulsed, cried and talked to the characters as if they were real people. The hero (Gabe) and heroine (Mia) have known each other for years. Gabe is scarred by his ex-wife and vows he would never get involved in a relationship without protecting himself. Mia has always had a girlish crush on Gabe, never knowing his special likeness for her. Now Mia is all grown up, and plans to make a surprise appearance to her brother’s hotel grand opening ....... and there it begins. Very happy ending, I only wish there was an epilogue to follow.
"Gramma is that You?"
The narrator sounds, like a very old lady ; not very comfortable listening to swearing or sex scenes being read by someone that sounds like my gramma. Linda Howard is a wonderful author; if you are willing to take the chance go for it.
"Horrible Narrator"
I have no idea how to rate this book. The narrator is simply horrible. As such, I am unable to provide a sound and helpful review. I could not get past the first 3 chapters. Request a "re-read' please.
"10 Stars- I'm in Love"
I have a love hate relationship with Kresley Cole, I LOVE all her books but hate that she keeps me anxiously awaiting her next release. An extraordinary list of characters, this book had it all; I laughed, cried, amazed, etc and in love with Jackson.....
Readers, I recommend you purchase this one, TRUST me. I never thought I would ever "waste my credit" on young adults’ books, but..... if they’re all as good as this one………….hmmmmmmmmm.
Readers, If you love, fantasy, Sci-fi and just a tab bit of romance, you will not regret this buy.
Sighing..............
"Request A Re-read"
Lord, is the Narrator terrible! It was like listening to a cartoon mob boss ( tossing coin, cigar and all). I tried very hard to get past it but could not. Could have been a great book but....
"Worst Ending"
Lost a star for the worst ending....... Seriously? Conrad and Marian didn't even kiss or sleep together nor did we get any real closure with Marian and Peter. You've got to be kidding me. Up until the ending, I thought it was the best book I've read this year or maybe in the last 2 years.
"Absolutely love it"
This book was perfect, it has it all, romance (just a tad bit, more sex than romance (not complaining)), hilarity, suspense, action, name it. I also love the preview of the next book with pestilence. I am a little scarce on the review.......... but have to run.
"Outstanding! A Must Listen."
A friend of mine told me about this book 4 year ago. I bushed it off because she has a habit of over exaggerating. I made a huge mistake. Quick synopsis: There are 2 narrators, one as Jacob at age 90 or 93 and the other at age 23. The elderly Jacob is hilarious and the younger Jacob is charming. Jacob found love in an unlikely place. I repeatedly went from laugher to tears. You will not regret listening to this book.
"10 Stars"
This book is wonderful, 5 stars for the story and 5 stars for the narrator.. This book is a collage of Honor’s Splendor (ignoring the terrible performance by Anne Flosnik) and The Bride (excellent narrator BTW) by Julie Garwood; If you love those books……. you will not want to miss out of In Bed with a Highlander.
