Two people find comfort with one another while struggling to overcome life's obstacles. Deacon Davis turns to speech therapy after his debilitating speech impediment costs him his job within the political party his father founded. Maria Oliver, a speech therapist with a shadowy past, discovers that by helping Deacon, she too can find trust and comfort.

The story very good. The male narrator however, was choppy and quite irritating. His pauses and inflections were unatural, and made it difficult to follow at times, It was as though he was reading the book with almost a below grade level understanding. It would help if the book was read by someone who actually appeared to have an interest in it. The female narrator, made the listening very pleasant, I laughed out loud several times. I'd recommed the author, as I've read some of his other books, but the male narrator? never. But if you're in the mood for a good story and can get past the narration, you'll enjoy the listen.

At 35, Destiny Day is at the top of her game: she's the shrewdest and most ambitious sister walking around in a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes. But when she meets Taye Crawford, an independent financial advisor, Destiny finds herself moving in a direction she never anticipated.

Loved it, loved it loved it! The narrator did her thing. It sounded like she'd read this book even if she wasn't getting paid to do so. Her manner was engaging and hightened the enjoyment of an already enjoyable storyline. In my past experiences with audible books, my main drawback has always been the narrator, but after this experience, I actually think I'll look for her name when selecting my next "listen"
