"Read the whole series. You'll love it."
I've read every thing Scalzi has written since I stumbled across "The Little Fuzzy". Bare in mind, I don't typically like Science Fiction, I'm a really old man. Scalzi is the only exception. He writes with consideration for people who are not young techno-wizards who can visualize anything tech and ascribe an actual entity to a verbal description. In other words; I could understand every paragraph. His plots are intriguing; his characterization is complete; and his stories are very interesting and fast paced. Last but truly best is Scalzi's sense of humor. His Characters have great humor; making all of his books fun to read. I would really like to crawl through Scalzi's brain. That would be a very interesting and fun trip. Really, I have loved every book he has written and I'm waiting for the next. Lastly, I watched Will Wheaten grow up on T.V., but didn't expect to ever hear him as a narrator with that whinny voice on STNG. I was so wrong. He is a great narrator with flexibility, humor, expression, and a depth that blows me away.
"Scalzi is without equal."

""J.R.R. Tolkine just got blown out of the water.""
I loved the whole series. Hated the bad guys, loved the thieves, and the Princes. Heck, I love all of the characters. They were all developed perfectly in the course of the series.
This whole series ranks right at the top.

Lord of the Ring trilogy.
I've not listened to him prior to this series, but no one could have done better
Don't have a clue.
It doesn't get any better than this.

When Royce captured the dragon and turned it in to a pet.

Yes.
A must read. It has every thing anyone could ask for.
"A Fast - Fun Read."
Interesting - fast paced - surprise ending.
When I found myself rooting for the "Bad Girls".
When the next door neighbor got shot.
Vic the bar keep.
Enjoy.
"Don't waist your money!"
I couldn't get past the first five chapters.
No
Scott Brck
I didn't get that far.
I've been an action/mystery fan for years and will continue to be. This book bored me to tears in the first two chapters; I couldn't continue after the fifth chapter.
"Great story line with detailed characterization."
It ranks pretty high for a first publication, and it is off the Rector Scale for one of our own American Indians.
Raining Bear is my favorite and rightly should be. After all, he is the protagonist in a first person story.
Practice, Practice, Practice! The narration got better towards the end, but he lost his place numerous times in the script. Perhaps it was the Editor, but these lapses were amateurish and should have been removed.
There were several moments in the story that moved me. However, the last sentence killed me. The story was far too good for that ending. It seems the end of the story failed to be published.
I look forward to David Walks-As-Bear's next effort, especially if it is the end of this story.
"Great story line with detailed characterization."
Psychological depth of the characters, and the quick story line.
I would suggest that the narration could be improved greatly by using both male and female narrators. Additionally, the references to very antiquated technology significantly dates the story. The constant technology comparisons taking place in the back of your head while listening to the story is disruptive to a degree that it actually corrupts the smooth flow of the story line.
