First off, I love the series. After listening to the first book I immediately bought the next 2, and they did not disappoint. One criticism of Moon Over Soho, and to some extent the other 2 books is that the narration of inspector Nightingale is almost whispered. I had to keep going back and turning up the volume to re-listen to his character.
5 stars. Can't top that.
As in all the MHI books, the humor.
Only the MHI series in which he does a great job.
Yes, but I didn't.
All Franks, all the time, that should tell you if you would like it or not. It is up to the excellent MHI series standard.
I have no idea.
I just could not get into this story. Nothing interested me.
Jim Dale is probably the only reason I listened as long as I did.
Original idea, humorous.
The humor and that it was an original idea that Charley is a grim reaper.
Lots of laughs.
Listened for a second time; I had forgotten how funny the first book was.
I haven't read the print version.
I liked the story being told from Earl's perspective.
My favorite part was the humor. There is a lot of action, and some crazy monster extermination methods.
The ending. I should have seen that one coming.
I have no idea why the narrator would switch from a Russian accent to an immitation of Christopher Walken for the character Nocolai, but I found it odd and distracting. I also missed the other characters at first, but in the end I liked the in depth story of Earl. Another winner, but not my favorite.
Yes, because it has mystery, humor, and originality.
The moments between Castor and the demons.
Possibly. I thought he was terrific.
A good ghost story.
The characters are fun. I liked Kyle's part being larger.
It was a page-turner. It kept me listening. I would have liked more Stefan and Ben, but I liked the characters who had center stage.
Some of the characters were indistinguishable, which I find annoying.
It had some laughs.
This is a solid series with no sign of burnout.
I love that Amelia is well rounded character with an interesting career and a family (parents), and that she does not define herself through men.
I really like the imagery of a town and a cemetery beneath a lake.
Very good narrator.
I love this series. It is reminiscent of The Dresden books but with a London vibe. I love the characters. It makes me want to visit London again. I laughed out loud.
Originality. Character development.
I won't buy or read anything she writes again.
I normally listen to books while working, so I will usually listen to almost anything to pass the time. I opted to listen to nothing instead.
