Love the cats and other animals.
One of Kate Forbes' best performances.
Harry gets her chance at a sports car.
I thought this was a light spy story, turned into a very gruesome, violent sci-fi, with a bit of dark humor. I really tried, but I could not make it all the way through, especially after the children were killed. I won't say more to spoil the story for those who like this kind of story.
Summary was very misleading, not at all what I expected. Some funny dark humor and memorable characters, but the violence was just too much.
Someone looking for political commentary, not a mystery.
Yes, but not in this genre.
Never finished it.
Disappointment and a bit of anger that this was billed as a Sneaky Pie mystery. I kept listening for the story line--there is none, just commentary by the usual Sneaky Pie characters. Not at all what I was looking for.
Interesting them of the "fool," with religious conotations as well a story line about the homeless. Very well read, entertaining.
Great setting in a monastery, more frustration with inspector Beauvoir's problems since the attack on the unit. Wonderful descriptions of the monks and their services. Overall a very satisfying mystery and an excellent narrator, as usual.
I have read almost all of the Anna Pigeon mysteries and think this is one of the best. It is intense and holds interest well.
