November 1958, New York. Into the rarefied atmosphere of wealth and tradition at the National Horse Show in Madison Square Garden comes the most unlikely of horses—a drab white former plow horse named Snowman—and his rider, Harry de Leyer. They were the longest of all longshots—and their win was the stuff of legend.

One of the best books I have ever read! You will laugh, learn, love, and cry. I will never look at horses or the "industry" of horses the same! A must read!

Slightly interesting in the way the author depicts the future, but otherwise not an amazing story. I listen to audio books while I cook, clean, etc..., so it takes my mind off the mundane task. This story worked for that, but if I was reading it, I prob would've put it down.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II. With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt.

Thor, the Norse god of thunder, is worse than a blowhard and a bully - he’s ruined countless lives and killed scores of innocents. After centuries, Viking vampire Leif Helgarson is ready to get his vengeance, and he’s asked his friend Atticus O’Sullivan, the last of the Druids, to help take down this Norse nightmare. One survival strategy has worked for Atticus for more than two thousand years: stay away from the guy with the lightning bolts. But things are heating up in Atticus’s home base of Tempe, Arizona....

Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert. But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shape-shifters called skinwalkers.

    Story

Awesome, funny, action-packed, intelligent; this story (actually the whole series, has it all)!

Went right from Book 1 all the way to book 4! Can't wait for the new release this fall!

If you like Tolkien, like to laugh, and like books that you can't put down, this is for you!

Can't wait for my 12 year old son to read it, but it's not young-adult. More sex than the Hunger Games, but not a love story.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

    Story

Even if your not into video games, this story will have meaning for you. Great futuristic story; wouldn't be surprised if this is the way things turn out! Global warming, joblessness, and the rise of technology, this story touches on it all. Sound hopeless? Better read/listen and see.....

If you liked the Matrix, The Hunger Games, and have roots in the 80's, this is a must read/listen!
