Frannie Darling was once a child of London's roughest streets, surrounded by petty thieves, pickpockets, and worse. But though she survived this harsh upbringing to become a woman of incomparable beauty, Frannie wants nothing to do with the men who lust for her, the rogues who frequent the gaming hall where she works. She can take care of herself and feels perfectly safe on her own-safe, that is, until he strides into her world, and once again it becomes a very dangerous place indeed.

    Story

I had low expectations on this book. Sterling (Catherine's brother) was a jerk on the first book and continued to be a jerk at the beginning of this one. Frannie was very uptight. And although I absolutely believe in love/lust at first sight sometimes it is difficult to believe. But it totally worked on this book. As only Heath can master she developed another powerful love story. Her character development continues to amaze me as both Frannie and Sterling ended up being completely different from why I was expecting at the beginning.

I suggest that you follow this series in order as you will get updates of the other couples from previous books. The epilogue was So So Sooo good! It gives you the impression the author was going to end the series with that book. It was a complete conclusion. She even said what will happen to the inspector. She apparently changed her mind because there is a fourth book with the story of Jim. All in a this was another great romantic and passionate story with excellent character development that will keep you wanting more.

Narration: Susan Ericksen did a very good. Great accents, great emotions and intensity. Definitely worth your time and credit!

Linden McGregor is tall, rugged, and gunslinger handsome - a helicopter pilot with a Scottish brogue and charm to spare. He's also one of Stephanie Robson's best friends and has fit into that box for as long as she's known him.

The story is great with a slow buildup, sweet sexy romance and unexpected turn of events. BUT the narration is terrible. Neither narrator did an appropriate Scottish accent but Mr. Grindell sounded more French than anything. The narration was distracting but the story was still very good so it’s worth a credit. On to the next book.

It’s rare to find a Highlander romance story that is clean and PG 13 so if you’re in the mood for a clean historical romance this book is for you. The narration was pretty good too and added the emotions needed for the story.

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska. A sexy, cocky Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive. When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually tense nights in hotels, and taking unplanned detours. My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.

This feels like two different stories into one and the experience on each part is completely different. The first half of the book is a fun and romantic road trip with lots of sexual tension and wonderful narration by Michelle Ferguson. The first part is in the POV of our heroine and I loved it.
However, the section nd half of the book is so different. It’s unbelievable. The narration by Mr. Aaron Abano is terrible. Up to that point the hero in my mind was an Australian hunk ala Liam Hemsworth. When Mr. Abano started narrating the hero turned into a strange older man more like Mel Gibson. Let’s just say the change was not good. The bad narration paired with a too unrealistic turn of events is just not good. SPOILER ALERT: our hero disappears because he has to do 2 years of jail for beating a drug dealer (really? ). Then he comes back and grovels and fights for her love for Half the book. Come one, the groveling was over the top. And we’re supposed to believe that this smart beautiful lawyer will leave everything and move in in a happily ever after with an unemployed ex-con?!?! I didn’t buy the story, did not feel real at all.

I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she'd dubbed "Mister Moneybags" - her afternoon appointment. Bianca told me how much she hated Dex's type - snobby, over-educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.

This was really really good. It started light with a lie from the hero and a lie of omission from the heroine but then half way through an extremely unexpected twist came into place and it took the story to a whole new level. It was good, intense and unexpected. Pair an interesting romance with excellent dual POV narration and all I wanted to do was listen to this story highly recommended.

This story did not feel real to me for several reasons: our heroine is a NY City girl and constantly giggles and and is too clueless, our heroine had a boyfriend she loved but stopped having sex with him for six months with no talking about why (really?). Our hero had a girl he was having sex with regularly. So it was ok for him but not for her. Then they get together and want to marry immediately (eye roll). The declarations of love are too sweet and the sex reads as fake as porn. I couldn’t finish the story. The narrator is pretty good except when she does the fake giggles. I liked the first book a lot more.

This was one of those books that renders me useless because I don’t want to do anything other than listen to it. I finished it in two days. It has everything: excellent dual POV narration and both narrators did an excellent job! The blurb is very short so you really don’t expect such a complex, emotional and powerful story. It’s the beginning of a very promising series. Highly recommended for people who enjoy emotional contemporary romance.

As owner and headmistress of Miss Martin's School for Girls in Bath, she long ago resigned herself to a life without love. Until Joseph, Marquess of Attingsborough, arrives unannounced and tempts her to toss away a lifetime of propriety for an affair that can only lead to ruin.

This series was a hit or miss for me. I didn’t like books 1 & 3 but I really liked books 2 & 4. This one was the best. The story was very well developed. I started not really liking the hero at the beginning but ended admiring him. The romance was believable and the ending gave me such a happy feeling. Excellent narration by Rosalyn Landor as expected. Recommended!!
