Absolutely the worst book I have read since joining Audible 5 years ago. I have purchased and listened to 24 of Patterson's books and enjoyed them all until this wretched attempt of literary garbage. The narrator was the worst of any I've heard of the hundreds of books I've listened to from Audible. Also the characters were ghastly and the story line was disgustingly vulgar. I enjoy colorful romance and murders with some gore, but this was over the top nauseatingly. Please tell Mr. Patterson to return to his former plot and story types and to use some of his former narrators that sounded at least somewhat masculine..

Narration amateurish and storyline commonplace and unimaginative. Never will read a J D Robb book again!

The story line is so very unusual it took me by surprise after each few minutes of dialogue. Surprises abound as I listened to this very unique story. Really never guessed what was about to happen as I listened. Felt deeply involved as I learned to understand each character brought into the story line. Performance of the narrators were not outstanding but the five stars I allocated to the book were well earned in spite of the performances of the main narrator. (Just seemed a little weak but filled the bill well in that I was not supposed to know who he actually was until later on in the book). Great book!!! Recommend it to all your readers!

What happened to the great narrator usually on Patterson books? This guy sounds like he is going to sleep and makes me want to buzz off too. Love the words, hate the voice, inflection etc. Why did you change? Get the other narrator back and label it so everyone can see "Original Narrator's Voice" on this newest novel and thereafter. If he died, then find someone else that sounds like he is alive and has some realistic enthusiasm for his work.
