  • Naughty in Nice

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 33 mins)
    • By Rhys Bowen
    • Narrated By Katherine Kellgren
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Lady Georgiana Rannoch has once again been called into service by Her Majesty the Queen. This time she's sent to Nice on a secret assignment that's nothing to sneeze at: recover the Queen's stolen snuff box. As much of an honor as it is to be trusted by Her Majesty, an even greater honor awaits Georgie in Nice - as Coco Chanel herself asks Georgie to model her latest fashion. But when a necklace belonging to the Queen is stolen on the catwalk, Georgie has to find two priceless items-and solve a murder. How's a girl to find any time to go to the casino?

Lindsay says: "Lots of good fun"
"Murder mystery for the delicately nurtured"

A murder mystery for the delicately nurtured, or those who merely wish to escape the daily grind and grittiness. In the Miss Marple genre, but with a heroine who has youthful, girlish exuberance and the patina of royalty. This is the latest delightful instalment in this lighthearted series, which never fails to provide enough plot twists and surprises, to keep the listener engaged. Perfect for an overnight transatlantic flight or for cheering up time spent dreary waiting rooms.

  • The Power of Now

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 37 mins)
    • By Eckhart Tolle
    • Narrated By Eckhart Tolle
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

To make the journey into The Power of Now you need to leave your analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. Access to the Now is everywhere - in the body, the silence, and the space all around you. These are the keys to enter a state of inner peace.

    Darius says: "Consciousness Altering"
"Soothing and timely reminder to slow down"

I join all the other reviewers who have praised this audiobook. Eckhart Tolle's voice is soothing and his message is a reminder to take life one day at a time. Even if you're not "carrying around a lot of pain", which hopefully is most listeners, the overall theme of the book is a valuable perspective on how to live your life calmly.

  • The Deep & Easy Sleep Programme

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 9 mins)
    • By Darren Marks

This package combines three powerful state of the art hypnosis sessions and a pink noise track from Darren Marks, one of the UKs leading hypnotherapists....

    Joanne says: "Informative and Helpful"
    "Toss out the sleeping pills!"

I've had this audiobook for over a year now, and it has become indispensible to me for helping me when I can't otherwise relax to fall asleep. I don't take sleeping pills anymore, except for an overnight flight or to overcome jetlag. There are three guided hypnosis sessions, preceded each by an explanatory chapter. Most nights I listen to Chapter 4's session, and I rarely have to listen to it twice, and usually I fall asleep before it ends. Chapter 2's session has helped me overcome anxieties related to traveling, but I've only occasionally listened to the one in Chapter 6, to get me motivated to do something difficult, the last time dieting :D, which incidentally worked beautifully. I happen to be susceptible to this sort of hypnosis, and I can imagine that this would not work for everybody. However, it's been my best purchase to date.

  • Major Pettigrew's Last Stand: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Helen Simonson
    • Narrated By Peter Altschuler
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

You are about to travel to Edgecombe St. Mary, a small village in the English countryside filled with rolling hills, thatched cottages, and a cast of characters both hilariously original and as familiar as the members of your own family. Among them is Major Ernest Pettigrew (retired), the unlikely hero of Helen Simonson's wondrous debut. Wry, courtly, opinionated, and completely endearing, Major Pettigrew is one of the most indelible characters in contemporary fiction.

jc says: "Charming book with an excellent narrator"
"A modern twist on the English village story"

Insightful and charming in the best of the English village story tradition, with contemporary references and reflecting current social challenges. Miss Read brought into the 21st century.
