Weingarten

This is one of the best of his books. Wonderfully read, complex and very enlightening.

This is another wonderful book. Perhaps not quite as great as All Filth, but very fulfilling. A wonderful writer, and very well read.

This book did absolutely nothing to advance the plot. There was no move towards any resolutions. In fact, all it did was introduce dozens of new characters, drag out the old stories, and go on interminably. Almost as though Martin is thumbing his nose at the reader and saying he can drag this on forever.

Each time I read these books I find new parts that resonate for me today. This is the first time I have listened to them, the entire series, and have enjoyed them immensely. The reader is brilliant. The individuals are all distinctive and the humor and irony in Powell's writing becomes very evident.

I look forward to listening again in a few years time.

Well read and one of her better stories.

I can't imagine why it is called a book for 'young adults'. They would never fully appreciate the book, which is very moving and tries to be fair as well as compassionate.

Wonderful. He writes brilliantly and the history is fascinating.

Read well but the book seems rather inconsequential. Certainly not the typical Atwood book. More like an exercise of some sort.

Very good. A typical Furst book. A lot of historical background and a leisurely pace with plenty of suspense.

The reader was very disappointing and distracting. The text might have been interesting but the reader made it all sound like a dramatic recitation. It was impossible to differentiate between the chronicles that were being quoted and the author's own text.
