"Bloody Hell.. I loved it!"
For all the Cat and Bones fans this book will not disappoint. Cat and Bones are well into their relationship so this book really delves into family/friend relationships, acceptance, and unconditional love. ~~
I laughed out loud and shed many tears through out the book. The passion between Cat and Bones is still present and the love scene took my breath away. I still favor Chapter 32 in One Foot in The Grave, but this one probably comes in second. ~~
I have been spoiled with the intense heat, lust and passion between Cat and Bones over the last few books and I felt like it was lessened in this one. I am sure this is because they are solid in their relationship. The ups and downs in their relationship that blasted passion and lust through out the pages aren't present in this one.~~
Tavia still rocked the narration. I do think she went a bit overboard in some of the scenes..She overpowered some chapters that were written so beautifully that merely reading the words would have produced a heart stopping reaction. ~~
I have started my count down for the next C&B this fall.. But I guarantee I will listen to this audiobook over and over again until then.
~Happy Listening!~
"Last book in series..Last Mead book I will read..."
I was excited and a bit sad about reading the last book in the Black Swan series. I had fallen in love with Eugenie and Dorian, I wanted it go on forever, but sadly it ended..
The ending is the reason I will no longer read Richelle Mead's books. I have no idea when Eugenie became such a wimp, or when she started letting others take care of her responsibilities. The book has moments where it could have turned into the most amazing one of the series, sadly Ms. Mead didn't deliver.
I know every writer is free to write whatever they would like, Eugenie was a product of Ms. Read's imagination and she is a wonderful writer. I wanted to be happy with her creative direction with the book, but all I could say was, "WHAT THE HELL"!!!
There are some books that you feel OK with the author leaving the ending to your imagination.. sadly this was not one of those books, or the type of series for it.
"Books are great, narrator not so much"
I listened to the 1st book in the series and it was pretty good. Then I downloaded this book, and the narration was awful. After hearing this book I actually wasn't going to continue with the series. It took me over a month to even consider the books.. luckily I was able to check the books out at the library and they were really good. I recommend the books but the audio-books not so much.
