I could not understand one word the narrator said! I stopped listening after the 1st 10 minutes. I did try 2 different times because I thought it may have been my state of mind the 1st time, but it was just as bad the 2nd time. The Cockney english accent was just too difficult to understand, and frankly I just didn't think it was worth it. Can I have my money back?
This is an amazing series! The stories are fa fetched and crazy and of course the heroine always gets out of trouble. But I like to quote her famous words to myself..."Why can't I be Good? She is Rebellious and Raucous, wild, fearless, and just plain Bloody Jack! You will fall in love I promise." But you must start at the beginning so choose the first in the series and work your way down because much of the series is based on true historical lore.
You can never be disappointed when you go with an Oprah book club Choice. This story is rich with characters, depth of heart, hate, morality and love. If you enjoyed 12 Years a Slave you will love this book!
This is one of those books that you read to not have to think too hard. Mrs. Pollifax is a sweet lady but the whole thing is silly. You know she will be alright in the end, but so much of it is totally unbelievable.
This story however thrilling to a science Junkie wasn't really great for me. I got bored with it half way through. I really didn't get the summary and took a chance. Bunch of non human /reptilians killing people under the streets of Manhattan. REALLY? OK, so I finished it because I was intrigued by a few of the great characters in the book. But other than that it wasn't my cup a.
This is a very unusual story of a guy who should have never had a chance at life, but got a great start and the adventures are endless.
This is a great story of a broken person finding themselves and with that finding getting back on the track of life. the story starts out a little slow because the background of how and why she goes on the trail must be understood. But once she gets on that trail the beauty of the trail and the people cannot be explained here. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves people and nature.
I bought this book because everyone raved about it. But it was the sappiest romance novel ever written. I returned it after maybe 4 hours. I couldn't take another word of the obvious drivel that it was.
I didn't finish this one. It veered off into a minor characters life and I couldn't stick with it anymore.
I just love this series, and anyone who stats just can't stop. Jamie the main Character is awesome as well as all the other great characters in this series. So much history revealed on these pages, and much of it taking place where I live in Virginia.
I thought this was a very depressing story, not one thing positive about it that I could see. If this is true history. I am sad for all those people.
