What would have made Safe With Me: The Complete Series better?

This was the worst book I have ever listened to. I’ve listened to a lot of books and this book was juvenile and disjointed. I get that it was meant to be sexy but it was anything but that. The storyline was just so so bad. I would never recommend this book to anyone, it was terrible.

Would you ever listen to anything by Shaina Richmond again?

    NO

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Muffy Newtown and Lee Samuels ?

Not sure if I would but I would, they were NOT good in narrating this book. It simply could have been the nature of the book but I did not enjoy there narration.

What character would you cut from Safe With Me: The Complete Series?

The strange random college friends that just made this book more implausible. The silly girls were portrayed as ridiculous.

Life sucks. And, as soon as Sidney picks up the pieces something always knocks her back onto her butt. It's never pretty, but this time is different. This time pretty isn't even the right word. Peter is the personification of perfection. It's like he fell off his angel perch in purgatory, because let's face it - any guy that hot has got to be naughty. He was probably sent here to ruin her life.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This was one of the worst Audio books ever. The narrators’ voice sounds as if she's in her late forties when the role is a college twenty-something. This is the first book I have listened to that the narrator’s timing is really off, she speaks fast in some places and beyond slow in others. I was only able to suffer through 7 chapters before I had to quit listening.

This books poor writing is only exceeded by the poorer narration. “Swing dancing” in college, SERIOUSLY?

Has Damaged turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, but for sure this author/narrator

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jessica Geffen?

    My niece

After living in Britain for two decades, Bill Bryson recently moved back to the United States with his English wife and four children (he had read somewhere that nearly 3 million Americans believed they had been abducted by aliens - as he later put it, "It was clear my people needed me." They were greeted by a new and improved America that boasts microwave pancakes, twenty-four-hour dental-floss hotlines, and the staunch conviction that ice is not a luxury item.

In the wake of all this fiscal cliff drama and other continual angry political stories, it was refreshing to get a different perspective all be-it-dated; many of the issues are still relevant.
In addition the narrator had the perfect timing, which I can imagine was difficult for this type of book.

    Terrible Narration
It is not often I write reviews however this audio book I feel warrants one. I listen to on average 1-2 books a week, so I know difference between a good narrator and a bad one. This was TERRIBLE and I think that you should defiantly preview it before you waste your money. I equate the narrator with the teacher from Charlie Brown. I know that this is a wonderful story but, the format that it is presented here does NOT do it justice.
