I have no idea how I ended up listening to this book. Audible must have had some special going on . . . the story was absolutely unbelievable, the science completely bogus, and the characters were not very interesting. The narrator was great, but that's the only positive comment I have to make.

I waited with anticipation for the next installment of the Drake sisters' adventures. What a disappointment. The story was so-so, but the narration was irritating and painful - the voices of many of the characters would have been laughable if not so annoying. Listen at your own risk.

I wasn't thrilled with the narration. Also, if you have a medical background, you will find yourself questioning all sorts of medical decisions, practices and procedures. Good book for a layperson.

I love Christine Feehan's stories of the Drake sisters, and this one did not disappoint. The story grabbed my attention from the beginning and held it throughout. The narration is excellent. Highly recommend this as a great "get away" book.

While listening to this book, I kept waiting for it to get better. It didn't. The story is ridiculous, the characters are not believable, and it was a complete waste of time to listen to this book.

I bought this book because I read another book by this author. The other book's ending left me cold, as did the ending in this book. The story line is depressing, and I didn't care much about the characters. Wouldn't spend the time listening to this one.

I bought this book during the 1/2 price sale, and was surprised by how much I enjoyed the story. From a medical standpoint, some of the story is completely unbelievable, other parts are completely accurate. The character development was fabulous - the story grabbed my interest and held on, but the ending was disappointing. Worth listening to if you don't expect the ending to live up to the standards of the rest of the book.

I am a Cook fan, but this book was a disappointment! The narration definitely detracted from the story, but I don't think it would have been much better if I had read it myself. The characters were not very interesting, the story did not hold my interest . . . can't think of anything positive to say.

This book is fabulous. The character development and story line captured my interest from the beginning and held throughout this book. Follett is gifted and creating vivid images of a time long past, and narrator adds significantly to the story. Highly recommend this book!

Not sure why I listened to the entire book . . . I think I was hoping it would get better at some point. It didn't. The monotonous adolescent them was tiresome - all I kept thinking was "Get over it!" The cat and mouse play between the two main characters was also predictable and boring.
