Has Catching Fire turned you off from other books in this genre?

The first book of the series, The Hunger Games, left me wanting to know more. I wasn't overly fond of the story, but I did appreciate the character development and the great imagination of the author. The story was most imaginative and I was hooked on discovering the end of the saga. The second book, Catching Fire, was most disappointing. It came to an abrupt end and the whole story line lacked the involved development of the original book. What a let down from the great success of the first book in the trilogy. It's like someone said "times up, hand in your work now" Both the writing and the editing left much to be desired.

What about Carolyn McCormick???s performance did you like?

I felt the reader did a great job.

Did Catching Fire inspire you to do anything?

    not at all.

    Any additional comments?

There are so many great books out there but this one is not worth reading or listening to. Leave it after the Hunger Games and you will be much happier.

In this remarkable dual memoir, film legend Martin Sheen and accomplished actor/filmmaker Emilio Estevez recount their lives as father and son. In alternating chapters—and in voices that are as eloquent as they are different—they narrate stories spanning more than 50 years of family history, and reflect on their journeys into two different kinds of faith.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I enjoyed the story and the strong feeling of family. Often we feel that celebrities are brats but I felt that these two men were honest, hard working guys who were very dedicated to strong family values.

    Any additional comments?

The story was told well enough by both parties but the editing of the audio production was very poor. There were countless times when lines were repeated throughout the story telling which really interrupted the flow and enjoyment of the book. Don't you have "Proof Listeners"? The story telling encouraged me to go out and buy the video of The Way ... and I'm probably seriously considering undertaking The Pilgrimage next year.
