Once an aristocrat in the heady days of pre-revolutionary France, now Lestat is a rockstar in the demonic, shimmering 1980s. He rushes through the centuries in search of others like him, seeking answers to the mystery of his terrifying exsitence. His story, the second volume in Anne Rice's best-selling Vampire Chronicles, is mesmerizing, passionate, and thrilling.

    Story
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The reader is boring to put it nice this would be a better story if someone different read the book.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The store was fine the reader just couldn't keep me into the book he's so monotoned.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Simon Vance?

Anyone the showed emotion and got excited when they should.

What character would you cut from The Vampire Lestat?

None all are important in their own way.

    Any additional comments?

Anne Rice is an amesome writer, very disappointed with the narrator. This book would have been a million times better if they had a different narrator/narrators.

    Story
Where does Ladies of the Lake rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The best so far some of the readers really bug me but this one is great.

What did you like best about this story?

The women, the lake and their story really moved me. I think Haywood Smith is my favorite writer so far. I like how she made the sisters stay together and learn to love one another good bad or ugly.

What does Cynthia Darlow bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice is appealing to me she adds so much emotion and her voices are great.

If you could rename Ladies of the Lake, what would you call it?

Nothing the title is perfect for the book.

    Any additional comments?

I will be reading/listening to more Haywood Smith.
