I enjoy reading series and very rarely read stand alone series. I mostly read romance and sci-fi & fantasy.

Would you listen to About that Night again? Why?

I would. This is a book that can speak to any number of people. Rylann and Kyle were willing to fight for love and each other even when it would be easier to be apart.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kyle. I don't know what it is but I think that if there was a real life Kyle Rhodes I would seek him out.

What does Karen White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The personality of each character as described by Julie James. She brought life and emotion to the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I managed to do so and then go to class the next day. It is a book worth sitting through. Putting it down would just be doing it a disservice.

This is the best of the series. I had originally had planned to wait and use my credits to get this book (the book came out the 4th and my credits on the 6th), that plan lasted until the morning of the book release and I was like "I can't wait." It was the best decision of my life. I couldn't stop listening!! It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

although in this book Nalini does go from one character's point of view to another's with no time to adjust that you are seeing the world through another's eyes.Other than that small draw back this book was divine! And I have every intention on re-reading this book time and time again. In fact I'm on my second go-a-round and it gets better with every listen.

I'm not going to tell any of the potential listeners what the book is about (that frustrated me that I didn't know what the book was about, but it made the book that much more enjoyable for me), so all I can say is get the book and you will know why I can't say ANYTHING about the book in this review. It is just that good.

This is one book you won't be disappointed in reading!

This is the second installment in the Midnight breed series. And it is a good one. The main part of the story took a while to get to because of all the background information and dealings of the other characters and the lack of communication on both sides as to their motives of being with each other.

But once the action began it never stopped. You get to see how the other couples and warriors are doing in this book. Which in my opinion is a good thing. In many series the other characters become inconsequential and forgotten falling to the way side, but not in this one. You also get to see the breed world through more than just the two main characters eyes.

Even though the beginning of the book is slow and the ending is thrust upon you it is a fantastic read. The series really starts to draw you in. With each book the overall scheme of the mastermind whom, as all masterminds want to do "take over the world" gets rolling.

In this book the warriors are put in an untenable situation, save one and risk others or keep the breed population fearing them? What ever choice they make someone will suffer for it. It is a great book and one that I'm happy to have read.

This is one of those series that you have to take a minute and think about. Do you really want to invest time, energy, and money/credits into. It took me along time to get the second book at the first one. I thought after reading the first on that it wasn't my kind of series. It seemed too unreal (Not as if vampires are real and all), but I was on the fence about this series.

I had to go back and reread the book. It was a good thing. I had missed some details that helped me understand the story more. Now I am addicted to the series and I am in a rush to get them all and devour them.

In this series you see the age old battle of good vs evil. And a battle to save, well the world what else? It is a fun and entertaining book, and the series is full of studly and muscle bound warriors who want to find their other half and protect her. Oh and save the world from rough vampires of course.

It is a good series and the narrator does a wonderful job with the story. She really makes the words come alive for you. It is in my top ten best series list, and one that I plan on rereading again and again.

This book was so good. Even though it was action right out of the gate and didn't stop. At times I felt like I needed to catch my breath because the pace of the book was just so fast. It was non-stop.

Don't get me wrong, this book was fantastic! At times I felt like I wanted to reach into the story and shake some sense in to Vlad.

This story will leave you breathless and wanting more. The narrator did a great job reading the story. She got way into the sex scenes though and was in my opinion way too involved in them for my liking. Other than that the narrator was great as was the story line.

I am a huge fan of Patricia Briggs, but this book wasn't her best. I was impressed that in this one unlike her other books you had Adams point of view on some things. That was a nice touch.

This was a good book but it didn't captivate me like her previous books have. It was a good book but I can't say that it was the best. I was expecting more and I didn't get it. I understand that Mercy will almost always save the day, but after a while of her thrill seeking ideas get tiring and I think in this book it was too much.

It is my opinion that the series didn't necessarily needed this book to continue forward. It is a good book to pass the time, but if you are looking for the action filled books of the past this isn't the one. Yes there is action, but it so predictable that it is almost not worth the read.

This was such a good book! It had me on the edge of my seat. I kept telling myself that I wouldn't read the whole book in one sitting but I did it was that good.

Even though at times you want to smack Jackson for being such an idiot you have to admire his effort. Likewise Evie too needs a good smack up side the head. the two of them need to learn to communicate, but you see both of them grow and learn how to trust each other.

When I first saw that there was going to be two narrators I was more than a little skeptical. But after listening to both of them preform I was a skeptic no longer. Kresley Cole has out done her self in this new series. It was everything I had hoped for and then some.

The ending was the best part. The last few chapters you had no idea what was going to happen. It is one of those series that you are impatient for the next book to come out to answer all of your questions and find out what happens next.

I have gone back and reread the whole book and it gets better with every read. Though the action and bulk of the story line doesn't start until the second part of the book it is still a good read. I would most defiantly suggest this series to my friends and encourage others to read this book.

I'm not entirely sure I can wait until October for the second installment of the series to come out.

Roundhouse Publishing editor Kate C. Leever’s first letter to her newest legacy author was intended to impress upon him the growing demand for his “vampire romances.” Though he’d expressed little to no desire for publicity, book tours or the like, it was clear that this was a writer waiting to be broken out. Correspondence with Mr. Lucern Aregeneau tended to be oddly delayed, but this time his response was quick and succinct.

What would have made Single White Vampire better?

    A new narrator.

How could the performance have been better?

If there was a new author. Don't get me wrong he was much better than the first narrator but that isn't saying much. I just couldn't get really into the book with the way the narrator was doing the female voices. It was very Distracting.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The book was good and in the middle it was hilarious. But if there was a new narrator it would have been much better. I know I sound like a broken record but it is true.

Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

Would you try another book from Lynsay Sands and/or Victoria McGee?

I think that Lynsay Sands is a good author and i would most likely will read another book by her. But Victoria McGee is a horrible narrator. I think Audible needs to reevaluate if they want her to continue as a narrator. She made it difficult to sit through the story. And at times I didn't even want to finish she was so bad.

Would you recommend A Quick Bite to your friends? Why or why not?

I would. But not in audio form definitely in a book format. The narrator would make them want to tear out their hair.

What didn’t you like about Victoria McGee’s performance?

Nothing. She is probably one of the worst narrators out there. It is a cross between a sex-line operator and a person who smokes a pack a day. She tried to sound all breathy and sweet for the women and it just didn't work. She managed to pull off the male parts just fine. But if I had to listen to her narrate another story I would opt out if it in a heartbeat.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story line was very well thought out. And it was a new twist on the whole vampire story of vampire falls in love with a human.

Would you listen to A Lot Like Love again? Why?

Yes I would. Unlike the first book this one takes you primarily from the male's perspective. It is a different take on love. When it comes to these two communication seems to be key but neither one seems to know how to do it well.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Lot Like Love?

When Nick sits Jordan down in the back of the cop car and tells her that she screwed up his live and that he is in love with her. Probably one of the most heartfelt moments in the entire book.

Which character – as performed by Karen White – was your favorite?

Jordan's brother Kyle. To me he seems like the type of guy a girl would be luck to get.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Nick brought Kyle clothes after he got out of jail. He may be interested in Jordan but he still remembered her brother and the things he may need.
